Did you work in a team?
I made the game myself other than the music! I also got friends involved by letting them each make an enemy. This was so very fun.

Was the resolution a challenge?
Honestly it was less of a challenge and more just fun. I may make more games this size just cuz!

What did you learn?
I did enter to try something new, and Ive learned a bit more about making good fun gameplay by having to squeeze it into a small space. This experience will surely carry over to when Im making bigger shoot em ups.

Solid entry! Turns out tiny shmups are super hard, who knew? I adored the little PSA at the end, it was really cute.

Very good bullet-hell experience with well-designed enemy behavior, forgiving hitboxes and fast-paced action. Having a "perfect score" system with unlimited "lives" is a great way to offer some replayability while not punishing players who mainly want to finish the game (and you should finish it, the ending is super charming and satisfying!). I wish the screen could get bigger somehow, but I assume this is an engine restriction. What engine / framework did you use? I also feel the boss takes too long to die and, since the screen was very small on my display, at the first 30 seconds of the battle I wasn't sure I was actually dealing damage to it — which almost made me gave up trying to defeat it. Overall very solid entry, congratulations!

Thank you for the detailed review, I appreciate it!! Did you use config to put the screen into 1280 x 960? that makes it a little bigger.  The engine is called danmakufu, which is an engine specifically for shoot em ups.

Sorry about the boss, I gave it a lot of health since I wanted people to be able to hear the nice song I commissioned lol. Maybe I shall update it so that its more clear the boss is being hurt.

Very nice game, I had a lot of fun. The music is fantastic, and the theme/story is clever and funny. I found it really difficult (I don't play this sort of game often) so I'm glad dying only resets your score.

I had a bit of friction figuring out the controls and setting the resolution etc, and the volume was really loud when I first turned it on. Other than that I had a great time, thanks for making this!
