Wow, I really love the dice rolling animation, and the way you apply special stuff to dice faces. This is very cool to me.
The only thing was it froze when I encountered the boss, or the only with insane HP. Good thing is, I am more than willing to replay again since I feel I might do better the next round! (I was being silly and thought I could only target one at a time...)
Congrats on your game release!
Aw man, thank you! Worked really hard on that dice rolling, second time dealing with vertex shaders :D Yeah, the balancing is a bit on the almost non-existent type, we spend so much time figuring out late stage bugs :( Thank you so much for the comment!
so cool XD
upgrade able dice with rpg is a great combination
really liked it XD
Good RPG variaton of Cee-lo. Good graphics, good gamplay.
Thank you so much, we still intend on continuing work on this to see if we can improve our skills :)
There's a neat vibe to this game. I liked the sound and physics of the dice in the cup, and I dig the idea of rolling these dice and using them to attack after.
Thank you so much for the kind words! There’s still so much jank here that it’s hard to overlook, but let’s see if we can fix some of it in the future!
I think the idea with dice upgrades is wonderful. I liked the music and the sound of rolling dice. I did not really understand how fighting work (can I avoid damage from the enemies? How much damage does each dice do?). At some point the game freezed for me.
thank you so much for the great feedback! We agree with you all the way, visualisation of game states is something we tackled waaaaay too late, and it ended up costing a lot in terms of gameplay readability. We’re thinking of actually sticking with this for a few more weeks, so I hope to address some of these issues!
Just not after today, we’re all beat :D
Great mood and theme, great music and sounds. Good graphics and fun gameplay! The progression could be a tiny bit smoother, as it was very easy for most of the game, until I got 500hp (boss I assume.) Though I couldn't fight them as the game seemed to crash! Sad! Overall great game and amazing job finishing up the jam!!
thank you so much for trying this out! And yeah, game balancing is another thing that we didn’t spend enough time until it was too late :(
We’re rookies when it comes to game balancing of this kind, and the tight ish deadline, plus an insane amount of bugs we had ended up costing us in the long run, as we spent too much time troubleshooting our own code than tweaking parameters to strive for fun gameplay
only this morning was the game in a semi playable state, and even then, we knew that there might be a lot of things we didn’t test simply because we couldn’t reach them reliably.
Still, thank you so much for playing our janky mess (and I agree that the music is really cool :D)
