Fantastic stuff! The sfx was a bit too loud for me, but everything else was perfect! It was quite challenging and it makes me think of it as one of those classic arcade game, ah ha. Awesome work! :D

Thank you! A volume slider would have been a welcome addition for sure...

Wow okay this is my favourite game of the jam! Amazing art and sound (I really like the missed ball sound). Love that there's not much punishment for missing, really encouraged me to go back and get better at the levels. The ball returning to the center is great, it's really hard to resist the urge to press buttons when you're trying to hit a middle ball. I'd love to play more levels after the jam is over, if you're planning to make them<3

Thank you so much! I am glad you liked the game!

Awesome game! Simple but as juicy and enjoyable as possible - 5/5!

Developer

Thank you, I am glad to read that!

As a fan of rhythm games, this had me hooked!

The only catch I had was that it felt off without any background noises or music. but if there were simply noises that might have made it difficult to hear any of the sound cues. Perhaps it could have been its own gimmick, but I digress.

Anyways, really fun game!

Thank you! I definitely feel that having some kind of music, at least during the moments when nothing is happening, would have made the whole experience more enjoyable. But for that, I need to learn about making music first!

Really nice. Good conceptually and looks great. I enjoyed playing it, very juicy and I love a good dither!

edit: Just thinking a visual cue about which way the ball is going to go would have been cool but maybe that would make it too easy...

Developer

Thank you! I considered having some sort of visual clue, but it ended up feeling intrusive. There probably is a way to make it work, but I could not figure it out!

Simple game, but fun :) …yes, I should add something else, right? Ok! It reminds a little bit Everhood, if we talk about reaction games, but this is a unique game and I liked as it is, most of all, I like how it’s not punishing (like: if you miss one ball, restart from the beginning and stuff) and how balls are different (you don’t have only one ball effect of a ball, but more). The thing I don’t like much is how you move the pad. I would prefer to move it and will stay there instead always resetting on the center, but this is a personal opinion. Good job you too!

Developer

Thank you! It's true that it's not the most conventionnal way of moving in a game like this 😅

great work!  I like the rhythmic nature to the game.  I am a fan of all the backgrounds, too. overall I think it's a simple concept executed well. My only suggestion is to tone down the 'miss' screen shake and sound effects, or add the option to do so.

Thank you for your feedback! It's true, I may have been slightly excessive with this effect

I really like the effects but yeah being able to toggle them or change the intensity would be really nice !

Really fun game. It’s very satisfying when I manage to catch several really difficult balls in a row. I feel like this could be even better with music! :)

Developer(+2)

Thank you! My first idea was to make it a rhythm game, so that the sound effects could be interpreted as some sort of music, but it didn't turn as well as I'd hoped... I should really start learning about making music!
