Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

Red Guy is definitely the easiest to play with as he has the most Attack cards. As many people have been saying, the game really needs an overhaul in terms of rebalancing! There's a lot for me to learn from all the feedback, which I'm grateful for

Glad to hear that it worked (I just saw this after replying to your other post, whoops)! And yes the browser version does crashed when pressing quit, since it can't handle the exit event that Love2D has!

My music partner will be glad to hear that! Thanks! The buttons were also really fun to work on, since I'm not very used to pixel art.

I think a lot of the problem with not knowing what to do is a lack of rules/how to play and a lack of a thoughtful UI. The randomness, as I've been told, is a bit of a problem and has to do with how I've presented the game and the balancing. Especially with hindsight, I can see how needless it is for the energy stat because you'll almost always have enough energy.

But yes! Thanks for the feedback!

Yes! Definitely need to rebalance the whole thing. It was kind of a last minute realization for me too while I was testing it with friends. And as you said, the feeling is a bit forced because of the lack of UI, something I knew I needed to do, but was scoped out for since it was so close to the deadline. (I'm not great at pixel art, and this was actually also one of the first times I've done it myself)

I think the idea of having stats is interesting and I could see how it would work. So definitely not a bad idea! I think the game would need to be a lot bigger, though, for that to work. If I made another card battler, that's something for me to keep in mind because I can see how intriguing it is.

As a fan of rhythm games, this had me hooked!

The only catch I had was that it felt off without any background noises or music. but if there were simply noises that might have made it difficult to hear any of the sound cues. Perhaps it could have been its own gimmick, but I digress.

Anyways, really fun game!

Great puzzle game! I really like the concept and would definitely want to play more

The controls were a bit wacky as I kept mixing up S and space. I did find a glitch where, if your cursor is in a free space and the shape fits in the outline, you can overlap the shapes. Overall, fun puzzle game!

Really cool town builder you made. I'm not creative enough to make a cool little town but I could see someone doing it! Loved the music and the style. Personally would've liked to see a little more interaction since it's called a sim, but it does what it does well

Thanks for the feedback!

Interestingly, I was debating between making it endless or making it a finite number of enemies (or having a score versus beating the game). Maybe in the future, I'll make that into a thing, whether it's Untitled Card Battler or another project.

Very strange! I'm sorry to hear that it's not working, though. I've had a few people tell me that it's not working for them, but just as many people have it working fine (as well as my friends who tested it).

I'm assuming this is also what lzyengn was experiencing as well. I have some suspicions that it may have something to do with how I was checking keypresses in Love2D, but I can't say for sure. Again, very strange. Unfortunately, at this point in time, I don't really know how I would fix it, considering that the game doesn't necessarily break. Hopefully in the future I'll find a fix for it! (On an off-note, I recently encounter the Pancake library for Love2D and was thinking of remaking the game with OOP, so maybe the weird thing that's happening will be fixed at that time)

Thanks so much for playing the game!

I'm aware of the balancing issues and I'm looking forward to adjusting it in a future update (presumably after the voting ends since it's not absolutely game breaking, just very annoying).

Hey, sorry to hear that!

I'm not sure exactly what's causing your problem, especially because the html distribution for Love2D isn't official (meaning I don't know exactly how it works, nor do I know what its dependencies are). If you haven't already, try using the .exe if you can!

With that said, I apologize again. Hopefully a future update will fix this.

thanks for the feedback! I'll make sure to look back on these posts when I find time to make a mini update later on

and the balancing issues were found pretty late while I was working on it so I couldn't fine tune it the way that I should have. I'll definitely have a lot of focus on that. as for the fullscreen for the windows build, I'll probably look into adding that later. this was my first time working with Love2D and didn't really know my way around it at first

Yeah I found out with some last-minute testing that it's unintentionally super easy to stack up on shields! I'll look to make a small update in the future to combat this, but for now, it is what it is :\

With that said, hope you enjoyed it!

I'm glad you liked the loop! It was one of my interesting ideas that I wanted to explore through the mystery.

And thanks for the tips! This is my first time in a while writing interactive fiction and my first time using Ink. I'll be looking to improve my writing in future drafts of this project, as well as future projects.

Thanks! It was a good experience and looking to join in on other jams as well.

Thanks! I'll see what I can do with it!

I was definitely in over my head! This is my first jam, as well as my first time adhering to a timeline as strict as this.
