Smooth controls and awesome art! Some of the later messages in the mirror are interesting to say the least...

Great work! It was fun to play this game, I like the art and thought the level design was fantastic. Found a couple of small invisible colliders in some random places (screenshot below is one).
I would suggest making the game a bit faster by increasing the walk and jump speed. The wall jump took a little time to get used to.
Overall, I had a good time playing it!

Thanks for the feedback swoopie! I agree that the mechanic is cumbersome, I wanted to tune the level design to make it flow a bit smoother. This was a part of the 3 hour Trijam, so I really didn't get to spend a lot of time on it. The bugs you mentioned seem to be a WebGL issue, they're all resolved in the Windows build. I really appreciate you taking some time out to play and give feedback for this game. Thanks!
Hello Hynt Studios!
I played your game today and had a fun time doing so. I think Last Stand solves an important problem in Tower Defense games - it makes the player have an active role in the game while the waves of enemies are attacking. The concept of attaching and recharging batteries is really good.
While playing your game I felt the pacing could be improved a bit - the introduction cutscene was nice but it felt slightly long (I couldn't wait to start the game). This feeling carried on later in the game too, I was completing the levels (or days) pretty quickly and was eagerly waiting to get a new tower or ability.
I had a good time with the game, it kept me on my toes. All the upgrade options were interesting and felt nice to have as a player.
A couple of very small notes I made while playing:
- The robot keeps moving when the day ends and reaches the edge of the map. When the next day starts, I have to bring the robot back to the middle from the end of the map.
- The music was great, but the voices were being repeated a bit too much. Either some more variety or some more space between voice effects would be nice.
- Sometimes the sprite sorting would be a bit weird and sprites which are supposed to be behind are shown on top (happened mostly with the robot and the batteries).
Overall, Last Stand is definitely a unique take on the tower defence genre. The gameplay and UI is polished well, and everything works together nicely. I will be playing it some more and maybe be back with some more feedback. Congratulations and keep it up!

Hello, I played your game today for a bit and it was a wonderful experience!
The platforming controls were very smooth and the story was quite interesting. The standout for me was the audio (the music, ambience and voice acting was awesome!) and the fire guardian chase scene (it was intense and very well executed). The music and ambience gets an extra shoutout for being really great - both in the levels and in the menu.
The introduction was very well written (and voiced) but the in-game dialogues need some more proofreading and editing, as I found some grammatical and spelling errors. Note: this is only for English.
The level design was good, in terms of the puzzle-platforming parts. However, in a few areas I felt that the walls were a bit too crammed and I wasn't getting the space to properly move or jump without unintentionally bumping into walls.
I had noted some very minor issues which can be fixed/improved:
- The falling leaves in the background of the main menu are nice, but sometimes they disappear abruptly. I actually have a very similar particle system in my game and I gradually decrease their opacity over time. Another option is to shrink them over time.
- When I held the down arrow key, the footsteps sound was playing constantly even though the player wasn't moving.
- While trying to use the level up points, the arrows shoot when I'm clicking on the menu. You can disable attacks while that menu is open.
- Enemies can be heard from off screen, this sometimes confused me. Maybe you can use 3D audio to make it more faint.
- Some weird animation issues when I was pushing the boxes around (sometimes it played in slow motion and sometimes too fast).
- The fire guardian boss dropped too many potions, it was a bit too easy.
These were all very tiny things that I noticed in my playthrough. Overall I enjoyed the game immensely and will be going back to it to finish it till the end!
Congratulations on making the game!
