This was so cute! Nice use of the theme, and I loved the story and the cutscene art. The level design was quite good as well. I figured out some pro strats by the end so there's definitely potential for a higher skill ceiling and some harder levels in here. Everybody else has pretty much covered ground on things to touch up a bit already.

This is such smart level design. You have so many places where the level can be solved in more than one way. The level with the "one-time-only" platforms is the best example, where it becomes "considerably harder" *but not impossible* to solve the level if you remove them all. This is a very cool design. One issue: The collision detection for the platforms you generate by pushing a button didn't seem to work consistently. Not sure what happened here.
I really like the concept and the controls feel smooth and allow for a good amount of precision which is always important for a platformer.
Some minor issues I had:
- Some of the levels felt a little slow-paced, especially sections that required frequent switching between the characters
- The collision on walls and the side of platforms was sometimes a little wonky, causing the characters to get stuck in midair to the side of a platform. I managed to abuse this a couple of times to glitch onto platforms I couldn't reach with the jump alone.
- In my opinion it would be better to have one switch button instead of two. I had some issues mixing them up, especially in platforming sections where you want to make a quick, well-timed switch.
- From a purely ergonomic perspective I/U + Arrow Keys is not a good choice of buttons. On most keyboards, they are too far apart to control with one hand but too close to comfortably control with two hands. It doesn't matter too much in a short game like this, but in a longer one, keeping the hands in position to press both at a time is likely to put strain on the player's hands and forearms. If you ever plan to make a longer game, that's something to keep in mind.
These are all just minor issues, though, and most are easily fixable. Good job!
great voice acting on telling the story. Enjoyed the puzzle elements of the game good times freezing hot brother and poor cold can't jump to high.
Love the voice acting. That and the cute blue and red characters remind me of Kirby's Epic Yarn. Unique character switching mechanic with characters that have simple, yet distinct abilities. Good work!
Great idea of character switching and great use of voice acting! I recommend giving some indication that sound should be turned on for the player, even in the description, as it is important for story elements. Also, this might just be an issue for me, but using the arrows in a windowed game will move the scroll bar on my internet browser, I think that's why WASD is traditionally used for these types of things.
I loved the idea of having two characters with different abilities! Being able to use them both to solve puzzles was great, especially when finally figuring out the solution. It's a minor thing, but the unique abilities made sense too - heat does freeze things, and hot things jumping twice just... makes sense! The levels did feel sort of long at times though, just moving one character to point B, then moving the other one - but it was nothing too bad. Some more obstacles to avoid would've been a nice addition too.
The graphics were nice, and it was clear which character was hot and which was cold, so good job on making it readable! I especially liked the cutscenes, and they added some nice context to what was going on in the game - it's always nice to have a bit of story. Some more visual flavour would've been nice, like a bit of background décor, or some shrubbery here and there, but it's still fine without it. Sound effects and music would've been a really good addition, though, since the game felt kind of empty without them.
I enjoyed this nice puzzle-platformer kind of game, and I think it has a great idea behind it - great work on making this game!
