Quixotic is about rolling as many dice as you want, really any dice!

impactical indeed
this is just a ridiculous amount of dice, I'd have loved if the srd included a small example use for this system because have you actually counted the number of letters in a normal, perhaps slightly fanciful, sentence? Like, especially in physical play, I'd reckon this to get incredibly tedious.
Also I have no idea what to think of using a German word as the custom noun but hell yea
Overall, the base idea could definitely be used in some capacity, that's fun, but atm it seems slightly unrefined and brutish to use to me
You make it sound like this is a bad thing. This is the entire reason for this SRD - rolling as many dice as possible. German words are really just a bonus here.
You can check out the Quixotic Jam to see that people already made amazing games with this SRD.
Practicality is of no concern here. All you need to know is in the name Quixotic! Look up the definition!
Obviously my comments are based on my opinion on what I'd seek out in an SRD, and the srd as a standalone document doesn't really make a good case for the potential uses of the system. Hence why I brought up the practicality, because that is a relevant factor for me. (and the point about German wasn't negative btw lmao)
I don't doubt that people can make great games with it but that's not relevant to the merits of this here pdf
I love rolling a lot of dice, so I love this.
I mean, who doesn't love rolling tons of dice! The Quixotic Jamis still going strong as well with really great submissions. So join if you have an idea and make sure to check out the fun the submissions there as well.
Oh, cool! I'll have to check that out. I might not have enough time this month, but I'll see if any ideas spark
