Thanks so much!

Hello! Games are mentioned because I make games and most of the folks that I shared this jam with also make games. I modified some wording in the jam to make it more clear that any kind of zine is accepted.

I just refreshed the community copies

Love this! Very cute cat game! I especially like the parts of the game that carry over to the next time you play.

Thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed the game!

Yes, that's correct. Submit under whichever category fits best for the creation you're making. My main point is that the jam isn't for video games.

Good question! The physical game requirement is related to itch categories. It's to distinguish between video games and tabletop games.

So, if you made a perzine, you would just need to submit your itch project for the zine (with PDF or something on your itch page) to the jam.

There's no need to print it unless you want to. I would love to see files that are ready for DIY printing and assembly, but it's not required

Great question! I did write that rule in a confusing way. Non-game zines are 100% welcome in this jam.

Later, I'll update the language to try and be more clear.

Oh wow, everything about this is so lovely! I really love the art and the hand-written game text. Thank you for making this! I would love to see a low-ink version in the future too!

I had a great time with my first session!

Sadly, Branch the Dryad did not survive long, but it got my excited to try with another Wildling! The game is easy to learn and the world lets the player's imagination stretch a bit with the amazing art and prompts included. The Wall is a really cool way to track your journey and leaves you with something that is memorable.

The layout is also incredible! I especially love the 9-tile diamond realm maps.

Highly recommend!

Thank you! That deck of cards looks great as well!

Thanks so much!

hell yeah

Hell yeah! Thanks so much

One of my favorites from the jam! The structure of this is really great. All the adjectives and nouns have incredible range to play with.

The layout and vibe of this is incredible! great job!

Thank you! <3

Thanks so much!

Yay! Glad you enjoyed!

Thanks! Good luck on this quest. I think it'd be pretty tricky to do

Haha this is my favorite review! Thanks so much! I hope you find your tech deck

The Old Ways Must Go feels like an important game. It's about calling out the "old ways" and working together to create the "new ways." Throughout the game text, the emphasis on changing systems and structures and the importance of community really comes through. This is a game that is asking the players to reflect thoughtfully on the "old ways" and being creative for how they can be changed. And right now is an important time to be going through such as ritual.

The game being framed as a ritual works very well and there are great ways this is reinforced in the text. Players use tarot cards for inspiration and there are moments where players must recite specific words together that really drives home the ritual feeling. The way the cards are laid out during play also has strong ritual imagery.

Collaboration and discussion are key to this game and are encouraged during each of the game rounds. Higher player counts likely would create the most engaging sessions, though there is a solo variant included as well.

Also, I highly recommend the physical copy and the cloth playmat. Both are high quality and, the cloth playmat especially, beautiful!

I use Affinity for layout and formatting

If you're asking where I've printed them, I've printed some on my home printer and I've printed some with Moo

I had a great time with Crisis in the Jwi-dal of Musin!

This is a solo game using the Hints and Hijinx system. It is inspired by historical K-dramas. While I'm not very familiar with the source material, there is enough context in the introduction and descriptions of the locations of the mystery, in my opinion, that I never felt lost or unsure of what do to.

The clues and complications included gave me plenty of guidance to come up with a drama-filled story and plenty of hijinx!

I rolled pretty well and ended up with a lot of clues. My detective was successful in solving the case! It felt satisfying building upon the story as I played. It felt natural to add onto the details slowly throughout play and I ended up surprising myself where everything went.

I just added some more community copies!

I love this! Thanks for playing and sharing your experience!

Thank you!

Sure! I'm at junkfoodcrew at gmail dot com

Thank you! The artist/graphic designer for Moon Rings, Tyson Whiting, did the design and art for the card deck

Thanks so much for playing!

Yes, you were correct to take damage during the Resolve phase when you had no cards in your hand and the Guard hands had higher numbers than you.

So close! Thank you for playing!

I'm curious to hear more about the solo journaling book club!

Thanks so much!

Oh wow! Thanks so much for playing!

Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for playing! Yeah, it is meant to be kinda difficult to complete the ritual.

I LOVE your version of the prince. That is so fun!

This was an awesome event! Thank you for posting the recap! It was fun to participate in

Thank you!

The idea of using it as bonuses in a ttrpg is so fun!

Thank you so much!!

Thank you!

Yes, we do plan to a print run for this. I'll likely make a post and update the itch page with links when that becomes available.
