it was adorable! the characters were really cute and puzzle solving aspect was really engaging. Awesome designs!

So cute! :3 Also, I like the music and the kind atmosphere.

Developer(+2)

I'm glad the atmosphere comes across that way! I'm often known for writing very depressing or scary stories, and of course there's hints of that in the setting, but that just didn't feel right, considering the warmth and calm that I personally associate with Laura. I wanted a tone that was sweet and lovely, like her, for her game jam. I'm glad I captured it well.

I love this!! The art is adorable, I especially love the switching high five animation and the interstitial art is great! Very chill and fun with just the right level of puzzle solving challenge for little ol' me. :) Great job, guys!

Thanks!

The game idea is so good!  I love the idea of switching between characters with different abilities, the characters compliment each other so well!

I had trouble with the dragging mechanic too - it would always crash the game when I tried.

The art is really well done!  Though it took me longer than it should have to notice the number of legs Kiki has. :D

Goodness gracious, we never noticed a single problem with the drag mechanic during development, and now it's causing problems left and right... Thank you for all the praise, though! It's always really lovely to hear.

I really love the gameplay idea, I could see an entire game based around this mechanic! The art and animation were so good, too! I especially love the little vignettes between some of the levels.

(I was playing with a controller, which for the most part was fine, but there was no button for the dragging/barking mechanic. )

Developer(+1)

Aww, thank you! That's such a compliment, especially considering how charming I thought The Lion Colette's art style was, thank you so much! I'm sorry you'd had trouble when playing with a controller, I suppose Dwa had forgotten to consider that - I did too, after all. If we ever come back to update this game in the future, I'll be sure to remember that!

Thanks! (Uhm.. yeah, I actually forgot I had added controller inputs at all..  I programmed it in Godot and it keeps that stuff tucked away in the menus.. o.o; Will fix it in the future!)

I'm having a problem where the level you're introduced to the dragging mechanic consistently crashes the game every time I try to pull the first box.
I have no idea how the preceding level is supposed to be beat without it, but I managed. On a repeat attempt, I can drag the boxes in that level just fine.
EDIT: Well, I guess I can just ignore that box and beat the game. Very cute stuff!

Glad you were able to beat it! o.o; I wasn't able to recreate the crash, not sure what happened there.. This was my first real Godot project,  still figuring out the engine! x.X!

I did realize the need for the drag text on the previous level and made an updated build before the submissions closed.. Thanks for the feedback!
