Interesting game :)

This looks quite complex to have made! I think you have a good base system but it doesn’t feel like enough is in the game for a full satisfying game play loop. Maybe you could have specific encounters at certain nodes or a home base you must collect resources for? Also, the sound design and presentation is well done.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! Yes, the base system is quit solid. I will do some extensions to it after the jam :)

Enjoyed this game, truly meets the theme of exploration. Sound is right on. I loved the various Kenney assets that float by at random times. Very nice!

Thanks for playing and glad you like it. The floating assets are actually not completely random. They appear when you reach a certain number of travel points. So if someone reaches travelpoint 100, I placed a big one there :D

i really like the game design. I played it several times and in each one I managed to get more and more points. A great satisfaction. My criticisms go to the visual part, I don't know if I would have put aliens around since they break the minimal look a bit. Another thing I would have shown less from the board in order to make everything less predictable.

That is great to hear! :) I could also imagine a closer camera and maybe a zoom out function.

This is a pretty cool concept the star-map navigation reminds of the space-stage in spore haha, balancing your resources and picking nodes carefully is actually relatively fun, just needs some more dynamics in the mechanics like random events or such.

The SFX feel really nice too!

Developer

Oh nice you reached the end of the universe :) I appreciate your feedback. Good suggestions come together.

Clean experience. To figure out the risk of exploring is a nice idea. The game play is a solid foundation for more. Very well done!

A few ideas that came in mind for me: story events, space stations, trading, conversion of resources, greater range of different resources, main base. multiple expeditions in one run.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! I agree, there could be a lot more interaction I could add in the future. I think events are a really good way to make it more exciting. So far I have only added the visual events that appear when you reach a certain amount of travel points.

Interesting relaxing gameplay. However, it was surprise to see floating aliens through the screen :D

It would be a little bit more comfortable if I would see the cost of one travel somewhere on screen. Like with red "-10" next to the resource. Still I like this game.

Developer

I am glad that you liked the atmosphere. Good suggestion!

I really enjoyed this game. I did find the text description really helpful to play the game. I would like to see more of this game. Have you thought of changing the colours of the planets? Also how big is the map? I found it quite easy to get lost in time and space.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you liked it :) Yes, I thought about changing the color, but I did not prioritize it that high. The map is currently 25x25 hexagons big (1250 travelpoints). Enough for the current gameplay :)

Submitted

I agree 1250 is definitely enough for current gameplay. :D

Homescreen was very good! I like it, but for the gameplay I didn't really understood what I was doing :(

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I added a  gamplay description and some info boxes you can hover ingame. I hope that helps next time :)
