Poor Patricia! hahaha, loved the graphics and music. Fits the theme really well. Good job!
Haha thank you for playing! Patricia will make achieve her goals one day!
Great so polished game. I didn't realize that petals on Growy Gal's are the player's health :) Would be good to see a hard mode where scissors can cut not only by touching the head but also by the body.
Thank you for playing! YES I actually had the whole body as a hit box, but got some feedback during playtesting that it was too challenging haha whoops! Really good idea though, after jam will likely add different modes into it. Thanks again!
This a cute, and very polished game. I like the decision to represent health with petals on Growy Gal's head.
Aww thank you really appreciate it and thanks for playing!
Cute assets, music, and sound! Also surprisingly chill to play. Maybe instead of shrinking when letting go of W, the camera can just follow Patricia as she grows?
Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback!! I was juggling between making her grow infinitely (more like an endless shooter) and having this sort of don't go too high sometimes don't go too low, but never really got to implement the second idea. Should have just stuck with her growin' and growin' but will try to come back to this post jam!
Nice job with this one! Solid entry for a game jam. I think if you were to take this any farther one piece of feedback I would have is to make the scoring system time based (how long can you survive) and the collectibles to be something like sun light or sustenance. The idea being a player can't just sit and avoid objects, they have to collect or they will lose a life from not "feeding". This would provide a nice risk reward system for the game I think (but those are just my thoughts). I really like the game, the sounds, the art, and the way you tied it to the theme. Good job!
Heya thank you so much for playing! I totally agree time based would make it more fun/challenging! I had planned on making different stars spawn at different levels and then needing to get to the sun for energy, water would have been at the bottom but too much of either one would maybe harm you. Ended up spending a lot of (and probably too much) time on the stamina bar/pulling you down if it depletes and ran out of time to flesh out the other ideas. Really appreciate the feedback and I'm excited to take this away for after the jam!
Very comfortable control and cute art style.I like the life value display most.
Thank you! And thanks for playing :)
Great little game. Nice idea with the graphics and the theme. It felt partly like a space shooter but the theming changed it up a lot. Good entry
Thank you for playing! Definitely where I was coming from like an endless shooter but more wholesome haha.
The way you tied the aesthetic together, the color palette, the music, it all just vibes so well. So cute, loved it!
Ahh I really appreciate it, thank you for playing!
Very addicting! I like the simplicity!
Thank you, glad you like it!
Nice one! really cute graphics, I also liked the life system! nice job!
Thank you for playing! Thought it was a fun way of showing health :D
This is a simple little game but gawshdarnit it's just so cute and presented so well. There's real polish in this! Only issue is that the music track doesn't seem to loop at the right place, it just cuts halfway through and restarts. Aside from that, really really good! Good job! ^O^
Thank you so much for playing! I just noticed this about the audio too, unfortunately a little too late before submission :( Should be a quick fix after the jam!
Hey, it's better than accidentally removing one line of code and breaking your whole high score system like I did xD
Haha I was very close to submitting a new build before I realised I was 2 mins away from deadline!
