Hi! I like the music and it is slightly tense. The main idea of the game is quite creative actually.  However, it is not easy to avoid the guards seeing the player's character.  If 3 lives are available in every round, the game may be more addictive. 

By the way, I played the game on a Windows 7 laptop computer without any problem.

Loved the concept. I kept losing so not sure if the puzzle is too difficult or I'm just understanding what I'm seeing. I also experienced the freezing issue. Loved the explanation at the beginning of the game too!

Gameplay: 2/5
The guards freeze at random intervals, not one standing still, but all.
Additionally, I would like it if I could hold down a key to auto-repeat.
Furthermore, when I lose, I do not know why, i. e. which guard noticed me (the character), so I (the player) can improve.

Creativity: 5/5
Well ... escaping is not that creative, but the lore is! I like that the game itself is not entirely un-Zelda-like :D !

Graphics/sound/polish: 5/5
Nice pixel art.

Interpretation/completeness: 5/5
It's complete and you could not take the theme more literally, I think.

GAMEPLAY: 2 / 5:

Controls were simple but the spotting mechanic could use some improvement. It would be better if there was a colored bar extending from the guards showing their current line of sight. Kind of how they do it in games like Metal Gear Solid where the guards have a clearly defined range of vision.

Not sure if I activated a power-up or something, but on my second or third playthrough, all the guards were frozen in place and I was able to walk right through all of them to the exits and get the "Freedom!" ending.

This is the first "Avoid the enemy's line of sight" type of game I've seen programmed in a version of BASIC.

GRAPHICS / SOUND / POLISH: 4 / 5

Much better graphics than most BASIC games.

It wasn't very obvious which of the many characters on the screen was the player character. At that small resolution they all kinda looked alike and it only became obvious by moving around.

The door sprites (?) also sort of look like stairs which is a bit confusing as well.

INTERPRETATION OF THEME AND COMPLETENESS: 5 / 5

I thought this game used the Escape concept really well.

yes, it would be better when in the begin the player-sprite would flashing or blinking. And sometimes it is too hard to play or too easy, I had tried so many things to make it accurate. And fullscreen and more gangways and guards and their sight with a red line would be better.I am not satisfied with my work, next basic jam I make a better game.
