I'm not sure why but the game window is super tiny for me.

Developer

yeah in my haste to submit I kind of forgot how to uh, resize the window and make the game fit the window instead of having a huge screen with a small game window 4 times smaller than the screen itself.

Basic but in the theme, nice

Thanks! First time joining a jam for my partner and first time doing a top down for me, so many things were limited. Hopefully we could churn out better things in the future under such constraints.

Nice job, I enjoyed playing the game. Also, great title name, it is very clever.

Developer

Thanks man, the title was my idea, after drawing the player, I realized he looked like an egg, and both CyborgAtlas and I liked the idea of "The Eggsorcist". Glad you liked our game!

I really enjoyed it, I got a score of 120. The only things I would suggest is a second attack with a longer range and a bigger screen. I really liked the use of lighting on the red enemies and the player to distinguish their position!

Developer

Wow 120. I have to admit I actually didn't have time to build a flexible code to increase difficulty so I had to use hard numbers so at a certain point the difficulty stops increasing. I originally had a grenade ready, which I wanted to make a dropped item to use, but as time passed I decided to make it a cooldown instead, which in the end I also didn't have time for. The idea of grenade pick up and tossing would allow me to try my hand at making such mechanics.

Cute concept! As the others said, the screen is very small but well done.

The screen is so small, but otherwise I enjoyed the game. Also, points for getting this in 32 seconds before the deadline!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'll pay attention to the resolution and screen size more next time. Well, just barely made it. A rush that I would prefer to avoid next time.

Good job, this was very fun! I just wish the screen resolution on browser was bigger

Developer

Thanks a lot! I forgot to reset the actual size to be bigger while retaining the small resolution in my haste. Sorry about that.
