This was a very cool idea and executed well! The color reflection mirrors was a cool mechanic, especially when you would bounce it off a colored mirror and the resulting laser would only have the colors of that mirror. It felt like the levels were in the wrong order, though. Levels 1 & 2 were obviously tutorials and did a good job introducing the concepts, but then level 3 was way tougher than levels 4 & 5.

You asked for feedback on how to make the target destruction better, I'd say a short windup animation where the mirror pulses, then have it flash and explode into the same particle effect as when the laser reflects. I also have an idea for how to expand this idea if you wanted to continue it. How about instead of losing a color every round so it's always white-yellow-red, you have X number of lasers per level shown in a corner of the HUD, so maybe you could have a level where you need 5 lasers or one where the order is blue-blue-green or something. You could even give the player extra lasers and have using less than the total correspond to a star amount if you wanted to make this a mobile game or something. (I personally don't like those kinds of games with the 3 star ranking system, but the idea just popped into my head.) All in all, this is pretty great and you could make something really awesome out of the concept.

I love the fact you used a laser that reflects to damage other "mirrors" colors felt a bit confusing like what were they there for ? but other than that I always love me a puzzle that can end satsifyingly if I just aim right!

Developer

Thanks! I'll work a bit more on the color implementation and explanation. Right now, they don't do much.

Cool physics based puzzle. I  finished it but I gotta say I didn't really understand the purpose of the colours. Was it just for visuals or did it change something? Either way good game :D

Developer

Thanks! Also, very good question. It did change something, but the fact that you asked tells me I need to be clearer with my design, so I appreciate it.

Nice mechanic, I think the puzzles would be a little more approachable if the reflect tangent was always at centre of the mirror. I know physically that doesn't make sense, but I think the beauty of this type of puzzle is finding out the order of mirrors to hit rather than having the skill/precision to hit the mirrors in order and the right point.

But I thought the ga e was overall very creative well done.

Developer

Very good idea, I should do that! I agree with your point, that's how I wanted most of the puzzles to work.

The game is very good

Rather good puzzle game! The art needs a bit of work but all in all, Well Done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Based on your game (which I totally want to play now) you have a good eye for art, so I’ll add some

Nice game mechanic you've created. Nice!

Developer

Thanks! That was the main focus of the jam the first two days.

It's a nice and unique concept, a bit lacking when it comes to audio, but it's a fun idea.

Maybe a in depth tutorial would be helpful, I got through the first 2 level thinking i understood what was happening but had not idea on how to get past lvl 3.

Developer

thanks for the feedback. I thought of the first two levels as a tutorial, but I did open it up too quickly after that. Will definitely add one after the jam

I really like the idea of this game! I would add an explanation in the game instead of in the description because I only read it after playing (and completing it with trial and error) and working with RGB colors reflecting different laser colors is cool but I didn't realize that at first. I liked the particle effects of the laser. Great submission.

Developer

Thanks for sticking with it to figure out the game. I’ll definitely add a tutorial, as that lack seems to be the biggest contributor of difficulty. We’re one of the other levels after that easier?

Submitted

After I figured some of those things out, all the levels were good.

Really liked the puzzle and the concept, great game to develop further, and maybe add a tutorial at the start

Developer

Thanks, Im considering working on it after the Jam so I appreciate the encouragement.  Player communication  was definitely the biggest lack, so I’ll start with that

Very fun game. It is a bit challenging at times, especially in the 3rd stage when you have to position yourself properly. But overall good job! Would love to see a finished version with sounds and aiming like the one you have when you play mobile pool games.

Developer

Thanks! I’ll look into different aiming mechanisms. After the jam, this might become a full game, so feedback on details are appreciated

Incredible game ! The idea is really great ! A bit sad there is no sound, imagine if this lazer goes brrr. Also, maybe do something else for the previsualisation of the laser, at the start I thought I was using a tiny amount of it. And when you achieve a level, add a Well Done, the first time I thought I lost and should redo it. Anyway, good job and keep going !

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to add sound and a different previsualization, but I didn't consider that the level transitions would be confusing.
