I really like the visuals in this! Super great to see some more hand-drawn stuff (especially animated!!).

I feel the gameplay is missing something. I think someone else had the right idea when they said the speed should factor into the damage you do, or perhaps you should be able to do multiple types of attacks (swipe, stab, spin, etc). I don't really see how you're meant to survive against more than two opponents on the field, but I might just be really bad ;)

Overall nice game!

thanks!
yeah, i'm learning code yet, and the animation and hand-draw is what i really know what i'm doing, so i do a little show off, hahaha.
but yeah, definitvly it could get more movements. acomplish one already burn my head, hahaha.

i wanted that do be hard, i think battle more than two people need to be almost impossible. usually i get 20 or 30 score, but my high score was 108 o.O

thanks again! try it a little more!

nice game! i really liked the visuals, the art style is very charming and the animations are super smooth!! congratulations!

for the gameplay i have a few problems, the fact that attacking stops you defeats the purpose of being fast, it would've been nice if attacking maintained your momentum and maybe the fastest you are the stronger the attacks. other thing I missed was a dash or something defensive

but overall it's a nice experience, good work!

yeah! about the momentum i couldnt agree more, but that was my first attempt to make a melee combat, i really dont know yet how to make it, hahaha. i started to learn about game design in may 2020, still a beginner. but about the dash, no, i really wanted a crude battlefield, so realistc as possible. i think the dash go in another way.

thanks for ur feedback, your game is just amazing!

Great looking game! Also pretty hard, but that might just be me being bad ahah

Enemies are slightly different but since I deal with all of them the same way (run away between swings) they end up feeling the same. Instead of using the best strategy versus each type I'm actually fighting this massive and scary big ball of death running towards me!

Developer

that's true, one time u hav more them 3 or 4 enemys their diferences make no sense anymore. that's sucks

It still is a valid design choice, as in "if you don't kill them fast enough they'll gang up on you" :)
Add some units that give bonus to nearby units (speed, attack, etc) and it is already a more complex game with very little changes!

This game is beautiful and the concept is well implemented.  Nice work!

I'm not very good at it - I never got beyond sucking at the process of run-wait-strike-repeat.

You could perhaps add a sense of progression by having a kill-count to pass a stage/wave.  I don't know if that would change of the atmosphere away from what you intended tho.

Developer

thanks!
yeah, i really wanted a messy battlefield, with bodies slowing u down and getting more hard. but i really never know how much is too hard. thanks again!
