Nice visuals, sweet sound, and fun gameplay. Sticking to walls feels a bit weird but nothing that really affected my enjoyment of the game. I'll second what Raidak said, would be fun to see a richer story to compliment the gameplay, maybe more levels? I want to know what that thing was at the end...

Wow this is really cool. Really impressive this was made over the jam as well. Love the art sound and gameplay.

Wonderful Platformer. I personally like that concept

This is really impressive. The sound effects and no music had me anxiously getting through the areas. As others said, maybe some music to help cut down on that feeling and coyote time.

Correction: I couldn't find the "any key", so I couldn't play!

Nice game! I suggest you could ad coyote timer so that the feel would be better. Overall good job!

Developer

Thanks! I wish I knew the name for it before I started developing, seems to be a recurring suggestion :). I'll keep that in mind for the future! Thanks again!

Love the art style and punchy sound effects, though I found the controls a bit awkward. The instructions say WASD aren’t recommended, but I think most people are used to that.

Developer

Thanks! The only reason wasd is not recommended is because during the later stages of playtesting i got the feedback that v is a bit awkward to use together with wasd (i find arrow keys to be more comfortable specifically for platformers so i subconsciously designed for that). I considered adding alternate bindings but it was a bit too late as I'd have to update the key hints as well, and it was already 2am the night before the deadline lol. But I totally agree, it would be nicer to have better bindings for wasd players for sure.

Hah, totally understand the last minute crush. J and K might be good keys to pair with WASD since they’re on the home row (for QWERTY, anyways).

I really like this game! Very well done! The best of lucks!

I like the ending hah.

Second level took me a while, but i found out that on last level you can just fall as fast as you can and they won't notice you.

Developer

Thanks! :)

Yeah I noticed that too! I kept it after I received feedback from some friends that it felt pretty nice from a speedrunning perspective. You can with enough skill get through it quickly, or go the safe route and do it slow and steady :)

Glad you liked it!

coyote time is definitely needed, i would almost always fall off platforms when i'm jumping

Good suggestion! I knew it was missing something! I'll keep that in mind for the future, thanks :)

Really good entry, quite well made! The atmosphere, and the attention to detail as well... just wow. The backgroud and the tiles, everything is quite well made, I think you got my point hahaha also, I really liked how you used the AudioStreamPlayer2D correctly. It is veeeeeeeeeery common for people to not use it properly, and in the end sound only comes from one side of my headset! The way you used it added a lot to the game feel.

I would suggest adding some music, maybe? Without music it already is quite tense and immersive, some music might break that. But some lighting, with normal maps and occluders  would be a great addition I think.  Really great entry, in my opinion it even has potential to be a full release, with a story, more stages, and some more polish here and there. Great work!

Thanks a lot! I'm really glad you liked it!

Yeah I made an attempt at the music, but I couldn't for the life of me make something that quite fit the atmosphere, so I went all in on the ambience instead :). I did add a snippet of the song into the second to last level though, as a sort-of easter egg ;)! Totally agree on the lighting! I was really looking forward to doing that but ran out of enough time to do it properly. Maybe later, who knows :). Thanks again!

Sometimes I get some audio issues where it sound like im triggering a guard. only really noticed it on stage 3 with the radio. Really like the concept. Would be fun to see a richer story to compliment the gameplay.
