I'm in the same boat as @Detros - access to the source (or in my case, a built .app package for OSX) would help me be able to play this. I tried launching via Wine but I am experiencing an infinite hang prior to the screen painting for the first time.

The art in your cover image and screenshot look great :)

Hi, is there also some non-windows version available? Barebones code would be best for me. My old version of Wine crashes immediately on "Unimplemented function combase.dll.CoIncrementMTAUsage".

Regarding the genre discussion I would just suggest concentrating bit more on planned parts that safely anchor the game in the assigned region next time. But yes, time constrains are there and some corners may need to be cut (and if you cut the visuals part too much you end at my level :D ). It is fine to not find time for some important features but then it may be good idea to note the dev status at game page, devlog or somesuch place. Or in case you outright select to not get guided by the theme just state it upfrot.

Anyways, good to see after all those years you managed to utilize that mockup from 2013 https://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/80676.htm . It looks really great.

Definitely on the edge of the platformer genre, but either way I really enjoyed this!

The attacking feels maybe a little too precise - your timing has to be absolutely perfect to get the two hits in to defeat an enemy - but I suppose that makes it more rewarding when you nail it.

The roguelike twist is really cool - the "Recovery" and "Double-Jump" upgrades really helped my run last a bit longer. The art style works great too.

To me it is a platformer. Not a traditional one for sure, but I consider endless runners to be a subgenre of the Platformer, so you are not completly out of the theme to me.

This is quite surprising, I have never seen an endless runner with rogue-like elements. Graphics make me think of a Souls-like game, I wonder how it would be with more time, it was a good start!

I didn't understand what to do with the cursor (the hand), and for some reasons, enemies didn't die when I attack them multiple times. I wasn't able to go very far in it, but I enjoyed the idea

The game looks cool but it's not a platformer. From what I guess there are only two buttons available, so my comment is based on this assumption.

If timed correctly, the two hits to take take an ennemy are easy to get. I don't know, I feel that I just don't get it, like there is more to it I can't understand. But if the idea was to create an endless runner with battle, it can lead to something interesting with a bit more work ;)

So yeah, i planned to make some Endless Runner with Platformer & Roug-like elements, from platformer side i wanna meke multilayers, so you could jump on platform and use this path, but unfortunetly luck of times (as ussual :D)

For sure you'll get to it with more time ;)
