Nice solid jam entry.
Fun concept with the bat and torches.
Did manage to do some levels without using the torches at all. Maybe some more maze or enemies or so to make it a little bit harder in an update.
Theme was checked and no UI to be seen ;-)!
Had fun trying the levels. Well done!

I always enjoy bouncing projectiles. And the concept of a bat throwing torches is derpy as heck and I love it. It was a bit upsetting when the torches bounced in weird angles though, made me feel like calculating my angles wasn't worth it because rng would take over eitherway. I still think the game was fun though so gg on your first gamejam!

This game get many thing right.

It meets the requirement of Zero UI and fits the theme. Graphics were linear. My overall rate is good!

if you change the torches to flares it would make sense of throwing light

i love the concept of the game and the mechanic of following the torches that you've thrown.  the comment below is right - you can finish without ever throwing a torch.  But if there were unseen enemies...  now that would make it scarier and more strategic!  I love the 8-bit graphics, and you did a good job of sticking to the themes.  👍

I think the idea is cool, but you can win these levels without the torches and just fly through it blind(maybe prevent the player from going to far witout any light). Overall it's a good game as your first game jam game!

I would recommend that you put cheats in the game, if the player is forced to use cheats
