Good Duck. Short but funny.
Thanks for taking the time to come back and play my game.
Very cute game about a duck. Ducks are cool!
Short and sweet, it seemed to match the theme nicely. Keep Jamming!
Who does not like a duck game :-)!?!
Cute character and nice pixel visual style.
Concept is good, but the game was a bit very short :-).
Probably due to time constraints. Would have been nice to see some more of this concept with light & dark and a duck. Maybe in a future update some extra levels and options and enemies (tip: our Discord showcase channel if you do that).
Audio was also fitting for the game and atmosphere.
No UI and theme were checked.
Good base for something more. Well done!
very stylish visual pixel art and solid gameplay
very cool concept for a game. i like the visuals, audio, gameplay, and i'm very curious to play more - i hope you keep working on it!
Thanks. I don't get back to jam games very often, but was feeling like this game could have had potential if I had figured out my main mechanic sooner so I could have made more levels.
Great work with visuals and design. I liked the level design and overall interpretation of the theme.
Pretty cool short game! Even without ui the objectives were clear so id say you did a great job in the No UI department :)
Thank you. I had hoped that would be the case.
Gotta love a nice duck game. I think the idea of bathing the duck in light before it's ready to walk trough the dark is a nice way to interpret the theme of the jam!
liked the concept
Great concept
Cool concept altough it was a bit short. At the second light switch I tried to jump from left but that didn't work until I noticed I can jump on the platform from the right! Pretty neat short game!
Glad you were able to figure it out. I had hoped the second level would require a bit more thinking without being unsolvable.
Impressive concept for the theme, less is more.
Thanks. Still feel it could have been more polished. After the jam, I'm hoping the water will actually behave more like water, or least make a splash sound.
Simple yet good. my only criticism is the sfx was a bit painful
Which ones in particular? Playing back through, I think I'd make the piano at the beginning a little quieter.
when you went to a new are it made a loud static noise for me that was quite harsh
You mean when the duck collides with the light from above in the first scene? I did something a little different for that. Instead of having a sound effect play once, I deliberately left out the "Trigger Once" command so that it kept trying to play over and over because I thought the harsh sound fit with the duck being rejected by the light, but maybe it just came out sounding harsh.
Thanks for the feedback!
Duck!! Nice! great concept! It's a bit laggy, idk if it's my pc. Love it!
GREAT GAME!! ,hhmm.. ducks can sink into water. Also by seeing the duck i can tell he is a Duck-tator (dictator) in his world. WAIT 1 minute, 58 seconds before the deadline ,Nice record!!
Thanks! The water was implied to be cursed (hence why the duck turns gray again after touching it), but I did not get to do much to it -- not even a splash sound on impact :(. What I wish I had done was set up a light right before that drop so that the duck gets it color back before jumping in, that way the player immediately knows what the water does.
I really worried I wasn't gonna make it, but believe it or not, I've been under 1 minute before T-T
i'm a big fan of ducks, in this game I'm a duck, thank you ^^
You're welcome :)
