Very happy to hear you could learn something from my messy code! ^_^ As for the walkspeed... it's intentionally slow initially since it's one of the things you'll find upgrades for during the game. But you have a point, it's not very fun to walk around the dungeon in the beginning when you're so slow.

I loved the proposal, but I felt frustrated by the walkspeed. Also, nice work on the coding I learned a lot reading how you did the procedural stuff.
