Admittedly, I didn't finish this one; the furthest I got was the set of long jumps and wall of spikes following me.

There's a lot of very serviceable game here - the presentation is nice and clean, and the evolution mechanic is well-implemented - but it's held back by the coupling of slidey controls and level design that's only a few notches below IWBTG, which serve to creation frustration from what would otherwise be fun.

Maybe that's just my inability to git gud, though. From a technical standpoint, this is a very solid game.

Ahhh! At the beginning of level 2 I went to the left for no reason and fell into the great void… ;)

I'm really bad at this kind of game, but the delayed jump had me die so many times! Good potential though, and you manage to give a good atmosphere with simple shapes and good use of color.

I don't understand why the jump is delayed

Well, "delayed" is a not the right word. I just had the feeling that I missed jumps multiple times even though I was pretty sure I had pressed the key at the right time. It's a matter of milliseconds really. I had to consciously jump a fraction of a blink sooner :)

I liked the fact that you can "de-volve" and reuse the points to better suit the challenge ahead! Also, the fact that you are not harshly punished for mistakes is really good since it makes the player want to experiment more.

The music and sound effects were really nice and added a lot to the game, reminds me of flash games from back in the day.

My biggest gripe would sadly be that the controls are not as tight as they could be. The jumping is barely noticeably delayed which makes tight jumps really frustrating.

Also the game softlocks if you press E to open the evolution menu, and then hit esc. At least for me but maybe I did something wrong lol.

The game was fun and has a lot of potential, the potential is still untapped though. But I did enjoy it!
