Art and animations are a big "wow." Geez Louise at that opening cinematic sequence! Mechanics functional enough (with special praise to the precision of the sprite on ledges), but I wish the level design was more inspired and befitting the amazing atmosphere the art and music provided to the environment. The HUD could use some work (an ascending timer not needed unless it's functional somehow).

So some of the style is there, provided by the amazing illustrated work, but other areas were not able to catch up. Still a great effort, however. Good job!

Very well done! The art was impressive, I loved the 3d character and the intro, very nicely done. I liked the variety of levels and mechanics. It felt like one of those precision platformers where you die a lot (but its ok because you come right back). I encountered a bug where often when coming back after dying my rodent character wouldn't appear and I would have to reset the level, sometimes more than once, before it would reappear. Other than that it was bug-free. I really enjoyed playing it

Developer

Thanks for playing! Were you doing something specific when the bug occurred? I was getting the same feedback from a different tester hours before the deadline, but I was unable to recreate the glitch.

I can't think of anything, sorry. I tried it again just now in the first room and it seems pretty random whether it would trigger or not.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

art and music complement the theme well, great direction! sfx are a nice touch. the variety of mechanics (spikes, springs, boxes, wires, switches) adds depth to an otherwise pretty straightforward platformer, making for clever and challenging level design. impressive amount of polish as well, did not encounter any bugs. a solid entry, great job guys!!

The rat dancing idle animation made my day.

Hi, very cool game
Nice music and SFX, everything matching the castle theme. cute idle animation and intro video
clever step by step additons to the gameplay such as spikes, boxes, springs, electric wires and switches etc.
later on multiple combined features in one level even considering the jumpheight and seilings
great level design for the most part, there were some difficult spikes *pun intended* for me
sadly I could n make it to the end, it was little bit to hard for me at some points, in level 3 and further on in level 8.
Maybe there comes even more cool stuff later on.

good entry! well done!

Thanks for playing! Difficulty in jam games is something I can never get quite right. Probably because knowing how everything works gives me an unfair advantage that I don't always factor in.

Regardless, sorry for the inconsistent challenge!
