Very well written, I really wanted to know what was redacted from the help file! :D

I liked the effects you've added to the computer monitor. Navigation worked well inside the program.

Some kind of feedback that your choice has been accepted would be nice. Maybe bring the player back to the "Reports" inbox, and have the ones you've interacted with marked with a checkbox or something.

I had fun playing, good job!

Very cool concept! The computer was really satisfying to interact with, and the writing was really well done! Great job!

Game seems cool, but i experiences some problems, first of then the game gets really laggy when you fullscreen it, and the cameras control behave kinda janky, also the game dosen't have a tutorial so i dont understand what i need to do, but i really loved the game's aesthetics and art style, if you polish it, i'm sure it would be an awesome game, please continue to work on projects like this, i can assure you it will not dissapoint :)

After Lobotomy Corporation, I have longed to play another abnormality managing game. Deciding on methods to contain and dealing with the consequences is great, but I feel the choices and results are a little too vague. I would like it so further into investigation, we could gain more concrete info and get more specific actions to choose from rather than options like "Increase Surveillance". You got the writing style of a SCP entry down perfectly, and I like the old computer aesthetic. If any of these jam games have remasters/continuations, yours would be one of the first on my list to play!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not making any promises, but I am quite fond of what I've made here and kinda want to keep working on it for sure. Good points about the vague-ness. I was trying to keep things sort of ambiguous when setting up the report structure because I didn't want to trap myself in if I ended up changing things. But now that I have a little bit of perspective and the story concept is fleshed out, I am able to actually go back and edit more.

Thanks for playing!

Interesting, but I'm not sure what it is that it wants me to do. All I've got is a single entry I can review, and I'm not sure if anything else on the desk is interactive maybe?

You're meant to submit one of the suggestions (1, 2, 3...) given in the reports, which leads you through the story. It will drop the next report after a few seconds. You go through the story and find the different endings to complete the game.

Ah, OK.

Alright, I just want to start off by saying I'm a huge SCP fan, so this game immediately gets bonus points there lol.

The computer is very cool, and I love the typing mechanic and how it functions. However the mouse camera controls outside of the computer were a little janky, some smoothing there would be nicer. I really like the writing style, I can tell a lot of work went into developing  the story and the different choices, and it reads quite similarly to an official SCP story you'd find on the wiki or something, which is very cool aswell.

Now, I feel like as an SCP game, or even just a general anomalous horror game, this game works very well. But, for a game jam, I feel like there needs to be a lot more showing what's happening than just telling the player what's happening. In my opinion, (and everything I say here is just my opinion, so you can take it with a grain of salt), I think a game jam game needs to be more fast paced, and less of a slow burner like this one. For this reason I couldn't sit through the gameplay for too long, as there wasn't much captivating me apart from just the story, but I think the main focus of a game jam game should be the actual gameplay.

However, putting this all aside, like I said, this game is such a cool concept and well executed for an SCP type game.

I hope you put out some more games like this in the future, though for any games in general, a bit more showing what's happening rather than just text explaining it would be quite nice. Great work overall though, it seems like a lot of effort was put into this, which is a huge accomplishment! Keep it up :)

Completely fair about the game jam game stuff. I haven't been expecting many, if any, full playthroughs for those reasons plus it being downloadable only (had some trouble getting some things to work correctly in browser). There were some corners I had to cut as far as polish and cohesion to meet the deadline (camera controls, more interactive-ness), but that's pretty par for the course in jams. I was a little disappointed about that though because I love SCP so much and I wanted to do it justice.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the writing. It was a bit hellish going through and editing/formatting all those reports lol.

Hiii wanted to try this game out, what's the average playtime?

Developer(+1)

Hello! I honestly can't give a good estimate, but I would guess 20min - 45min for a 100% playthrough? I haven't had anybody other than me test it all the way through so it's hard to tell :)
