Game Description
You're a Forklift Certified Butterfly! Pick up pallets with your forklift and drop them at the loading dock for points!
How does your game tie into the theme?
We had a difficult time tying into the theme, you could say this game was our unintended consequence :)

Really fun and creative concept! I agree that the unintended consequences of a butterfly being a terrible driver and knocking things down in a hyperrealistic forklift sim would be remarkable! Would remind me a bit of Operation.
Great work!
I found it very hard at first, but now with some practice, I think it’s fair, there are enough tools to help do the task.
Changing the camera angle, zooming in and out, adjusting the sensibility, all that helps a lot to drive. Adding clear goal indications would be great. I had to read the game page to understand what I was supposed to do.
It would be more challenging if the stuffs could break when they fall down
The controller binding is awesome
Nice game
I spent a long time trying to climb the shelves with the fork and trying to tip over lol. Very fun :)
Just looking at the credits looks highly professional, but it's a shame that a single click throws you out again. I would have liked to pause them, but unfortunately that wasn't possible in our game either. I could start the game in the browser, but it wouldn't stop loading. But it works in the launcher. So the physics of the game make it a really great simulator. I collected over 6000 points, but then it was boring because nothing happens. There are videos on the Internet where whole shelves full of content collapse when you make a mistake. I would have liked something like that and it would have fitted the theme perfectly, but as it is, it's just a tool for practising a forklift. Can you even reach the high objects or only the lower two levels? But it's a really cool simulation!
Appreciate the feed back! This was our first stand alone game we've done as a team. Our team mainly creates VR content for Resonite. Such as the New Years Eve party on the platform. We're glad people are liking what we did in a week. I didn't think about people wanting to pause the credit screen when I was creating it to allow people to read it. Maybe if we decide to continue this game I'll add that on the list of improvements. As for the shelves collapsing... all of us are actively groaning together any time its brought up because it should have been obvious, and it would have been easy, but absolutely none of us had thought of it! We're all kicking ourselves for not thinking of doing that. Its another thing we'll add if we decide to continue this project. Technically its already been done by Rucio post submission (not uploaded) after it was suggested to see how it would be and yeah, its a bit more fun and ties into the theme better. Oh well. For the reach limit the lift can only reach the first 3 levels. The bottom, second, and third. The rest on top aren't even programmed to be collectable. Either way, glad you liked what we did make. Spent a lot of time learning the engine to make it. Going into it we all had minimal experience with Godot other than poking at it from time to time. So we're quiet happy with what we've made.
I like the car mechanics, its insane realistic.
Personally i do not like the gameloop, it feels not to get more score,
but these 1000 of objects and the world building is awesome, great job, great team, keep on developing.
Thanks for the feedback, we definitely didn't spend enough time on the gameloop but instead focused too heavily on the vehicle and camera systems. The racks are created at runtime with a random placement of items w/ a 75% spawn chance of a pool of about 20 items we all modeled. Pretty awesome how you can dynamically generate content at runtime easily in Godot :)
The game concept is very awesome, and I love the whole idea of it as well. It's pretty fun just driving around the warehouse, but if I had some feedback it would mainly be with the camera controls. Maybe if you could switch to a mode where the camera is always facing the same direction as the forklift, it would feel a lot smoother. Forklift controls were also a bit messy at times, and I suppose the last thing is I didn't really see the theme too strongly throughout the game, but other than these small nitpicks it was quite a fun experience!
Thanks for the feedback! We went back and forth about the best way to implement the camera and went with the "GTA" style camera, however I love the idea about adding an option, which will be important if we ever release a mobile version. We had a lot of trouble aligning to the theme, but just really wanted to make a game. Glad we got to participate!
Interesting to see a forklift simulator in this theme.
Hilarious write up; Nice touch with the Bueno Aires reference! Was hoping that smashing into shelves created a domino effect, but alas, chaos must be limited in some way. Gameplay loop could have been clearer, but I had fun driving the forklift around!
Now we're kicking ourselves for not thinking of that. We'll save that update for after the jam!
Maybe smashing into walls to keep the pallets on the forklift has the unintended consequence of the products being slightly broken? I like how the controls feel great when going fast but terrible for precision.
as a butterfly i know two things: whipping forklifts and saying "fuck you" to OSHA. wonderfully silly game, nice stuff!!
I'm not the dev but I just wanted to say I love your review lol
