The art and audio are top quality! I am finding it impossible to catch fish without running out of fuel, most days the first fish I encounter is outside of my fuel range to make it back to the market after a single fish catch.

Did you perhaps start the game and immediately started turning? One of the bugs is at the start, your speed is zero and you won't accelerate  while turning, so your speed will be SUPER SLOW until you build up some speed by driving  straight. Other than that I want you to have a good motivation to upgrade :)

Thank you for mowing the lawn!

Cheers

Thank you for the feedback! I would have liked to add some extra audio queues, later game upgrades and some more effects to the ant waves in general but pretty much all of that was done in the last 24h and I ran out of time (future update perhaps).

For the rigid driving experience I am not sure what you mean by this, is it the turning? I do not want players to have control over their speed which is why there is no key to accelerate/decelerate but perhaps adding a system for drifting on turns could be fun.

Thank you for mowing the lawn! :)

excellent floppy fish LOL

First thing my buddy did when he played this game was make a less wholesome drawing...

played and rated! This was a good one :)

Great implementation of the theme! Calm day of fishing before you are "stormed" by action keyboard inputs to stay afloat definitely fits well in my opinion :)

While I was playing I somehow got off the boat and explored around underwater for a bit which was pretty funny and I was surprised by how many fish were down there!

Good job with this one!

Played and rated! Very cozy graphics style, and a very fleshed out upgrade tree! I'll return to this one to play some more later :)

Yeah! I just finished playing rating yours and I was thinking the same thing LOL

So far I feel pretty decent at it but I am stuck on the 4 tornado map. Trying a move in reverse strat haha

Sweet game! Your driving controls feel very good and the challenging tornadoes are the perfect level of frustration/satisfaction to beat.

The audio was great as well, felt perfect for a storm-chasing adventure!

You have something to be proud of here :)

Cheers

Please comment your submission link and I'll play it and rate it!

I would also like you to play and (hopefully) enjoy my game here: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2962037

Hi! I'll check out your game asap :)

Here is mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2962037

Mow the lawn! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2962037

Thank you for mowing the lawn :)

Thank you for reviewing with such depth! You found one of the solutions to the ants haha, if you keep your lawn tidy you can sacrifice the house a bit to finish it up. It was tough to balance this with the little time remaining seeing as the ants are already quite difficult for some players.

I am very happy to hear you enjoyed mowing the lawn :)

Thank you!

My game got a lot of attention on reddit, but very few ratings: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2962037

I posted a short clip of Cut Short to the godot subreddit and it was very enjoyed!

 https://www.reddit.com/r/godot/s/k0uxrU6OT5

I think it is not very visible among the many great games created for this jam and if you like the preview that I made for it, please give it a try :)

I like the storm mechanic, turning a farming game into a bullet-hell!

One thing I wish I could do in this game is dodge roll or sprint to be able to dodge the bullets as some of them are too fast and accurate to dodge.

Also cute style and audio to support the farming/bullet-hell gameplay :)

Cheers

I really like the perspective and smooth camera rotation over the area, that feels super polished!

I am having issues clicking on the buildings to upgrade / create units? It doesn't seem to be a universal issue though so maybe a bug with the firefox browser?

In any case, your game is something to be very proud of :)

Cheers

LOL great sound effect

I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed it and thank you for mowing the lawn!

This looks fun! I  enjoy the occasional RTS so I'll give it a go :)

I made a lawnmower: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2962037

Thank you for giving it another try!

Interesting, did that still happen if you refresh the page? I don't know what issues itch.io can have but the game is still able to load in web for me

LOL true, if I was a rat there's no way I would try attacking at that point.

If it helps at all, it occurred when I sold a sword the same moment my first knight died.

Cheers :)

Fun forging minigames, very stardew-feeling :)

I suspect I ran into a bug with the combat though as I could keep making piles of swords but the enemy would not attack?

Well polished otherwise!

Oh no! There should be SFX for the mower engine and for the pickups that you discover in the grass. Did you try using the volume slider?

The game is very beatable, though it is a challenge :) if you get stuck, I have a couple of strategy hints on the itch page.

Thank you for playing!

HAHA YES! Another dev who turned the prompt into lawnmowing!

It is very relaxing

Cheers :)

Really interesting idea! I like the concept of using the cannons to 'harvest' the crops and the real-time upgrade selection keeps the game feeling engaging while the plants are growing.

Solid game for the jam :)

Cheers

Nice chill vibes. I did get a bit bored waiting for the end of the game to come but aside from that it was a great time playing!

controls were great, graphics clean, audio was perfect for the game :)

Cheers

I like the art style and upgrade system! Does the leaderboard work with other player's scores?

Good entry! :)

Nice collection of mini games and I really like the sand textures!

Only adjustment I would make is the make breaking the rock take less clicks

Overall a solid entry to the jam, well done :)

It does have a bit of difficulty haha, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed it though.

There is a small section on the itch.io page that may help you to get the victory screen with a few strategy tips ;)

That is the goal! I am happy to hear that and I may add on some new features after the jam :)

That is an excellent idea, I'm considering adding in a new unlock area that opens up once the ants begin and house upgrades could be really interesting!

I really like the combination of RTS and tower defence that you created here! Good tower variety, a nice spot to spam my towers and feel like a god.

Are you considering expanding on the concept and adding more features to the game? You could get crazy with villager resource gathering mechanics and make a super fun and stressful game with this idea!

Very well done for 1 week!

Cheers :)

Those graphics are insane! Great job with the dialogue boxes as well, I may have to start making mine that way as they look and function so clean :o

Very nice submission!

Very nice submission!

The ducklings holding bread in various ways is very cute :)

If you expanded on this game, I think that a progression meter would be a fun way to keep track of how far I got into a run!

I  like the movement of the ducklings as well, it felt very natural and not too cumbersome while also giving a good challenge.

Cheers

The art style is cute! I really liked the way that you made the tutorial so brief and perfectly informative and how it was super seamless to retry after having the store plundered endlessly

Nice submission :)
