Pretty well-made, though the normal wall jump is quite punishing on keyboard. It would be nice if wall jumps didn't require you to hold against the wall (or if there was a few frames leeway after you let go e.g. Coyote Time)

Nice game. Lots of great mechanics. Good sense of progression. Not so punishing that it scares people away.

I got stuck in the same place as some other people, in the room where it says "some objects can only be interacted with while super jumping", up near the top of the area, on the left side.

Developer

You need to super jump to the right, land on the slime and jump into the door to open it.

I should have definitely made it clearer on what exactly you need to do in that room.

Nice job! I also fell victim to the wall jump glitch and got softlocked, so I'll certainly revisit later to try to beat the full game! One thing that you might want to do next time is having a little bit of a grace period for wall jumping. Sometimes you press the opposite direction and the jump button at the same time (or perhaps that's the intent but the jump button comes a moment later) and you end up just falling off the wall. So essentially if the player presses jump within maybe 250 ms of pushing off of the wall, they can still wall jump.

Other than that I found this to be a well made submission, great work!

Was pretty fun, got through the whole thing; but used a small exploit on one of the last levels.
You can jump onto the edge of the screen and scoot upwards: image.png

that poor cat. Love the controls and the sliding on the wall - but playing it without a controller feels like playing the game on hard mode :D The jumps and the movement are really smooth; visuals are nice and the sounds are alright. I like the game.

Nice game! I really liked the way the jump feels
Unfortunately it bugged when I get the super jump and I wan't enable to tried it. Such a shame I was enjoying it

What exactly was the problem? Did the input just not do anything? Were you on the wall while charging up the jump?

Submitted

I was in the spot to perform the super jump, at the top most of the wall. When I released the x button, the worm was like hanging on an invisible wall just next to the actual wall. I could use the left and right to go back and forth the two wall (basically being still and just flipping side of the sprite) but I couldn't do anything else

Developer

Weird when I was bug testing I never came across that one, but I guess there's nothing I can do now :(

Really nice job! The transition into the sewers was a lovely twist, though I agree with another commenter that it's a bit hard to see. Loved the flickering lights. The super jump mechanics was great and well-used throughout. Game is a bit buggy, and I had one soft lock I had to reset for, so it would be nice to be able to skip the opening. Great that you had an option to turn off blood.

Great work! (googly worm eyes were great)
