Hey! Thank you everyone for the comments and playing the game! Sorry that I couldn't reply to people earlier, got bit busy with christmas stuff.
This was a fun first attempt at joining a jam, will defeneatly join some other time too!
This is a basic platformer with a game state tied to light. In light, the world is colorful, but draining. In darkness, a black smudge comes after you, gaining speed when you stay in darkness.
Since visibility is not a core factor of the game, the strat is to stay in darkness as long as possible and to flicker the light when the monster gets onto you. The monster will then reset completely.
A simple and competent product. Shoot higher, and come back in January!
Great job on the visuals and the music. Beautiful platformer game.
Love the art style and the main character is just adorable. Personally the game could use both controller support and the use of WASD for the default controls rather than arrow keys. Otherwise a nice game, keep at it!
it's looks just beautiful!
COOL, but, i cant beat level 3, my light runs out
Genuinely beautiful! However, I saw the Godot gray outside the background on some levels, and I personally prefer a faster pace. It's great what you've done here.
The best looking game I've seen on this jam. Sounds are great too. The game could use some more obstacles, challenge and other stuff to make it more interesting.
