Nicely executed match game. I like its pixel art graphics, simplicity, and addictiveness. It's intriguing to see the animated cat. Good job
Cool entry! The graphics and music fit the game nicely! I also looked for the vertical swap but did not find it :) Well done!
That's an awesome and, I'd even dare to say, calming experience. After trying some of these jam games, all trying to impress me with content, moderately advanced systems, and expansive locations, it's good to just sit and play a simple match-3 game with a cat.
Other than that, the music is very great, it is very stable, and pleasant to look at.
Thanks so much for your kind words @okhnid - it's made my day to hear you enjoyed it and it felt calming, that was exactly what I was going for!
Nice, well polished game.
I managed to get to level 5 with score 289.
I don't think you can swap blocks vertically, only horizontally? I was looking for that option at first. But this might have made the game too easy, not sure.
I was struggling at the beginning, when I was figuring out how the controls worked, but the pace was slow enough at this point that managed to figure it out and clear some tall columns.
Then I figured out a "cheat" to "swap" only one block from top of the column to go lower and built matches this way. Nice realization of how the game rules work when it clicked.
Nice, clean art and pleasant music.
Cheers!
Thanks so much @TRy Dev! You're right I definitely should have implemented vertical flipping...! Hopefully will implement this in the future. Really glad to hear you enjoyed it
I liked the look and feel, the music and the general idea. I would have liked to be able to swap tiles vertically. This felt pretty polished overall. Great first entry!
Thanks Pete! For sure - a few people have mentioned being able to swap vertically. Will look into updating it to include that at some point!
Great retro puzzle fun!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
