Nice little game! I like the simple art of the wagons since its moving so fast and they are colored pretty bright so its easy to see them sadly I had the train all the way on the left side of the screen because of the speed so I couldn't see what hype train I had built. Maybe something fun would have been like a mini train in the top of the screen so you can see it growing bigger bit by bit

I had that idea but couldn't find a good way to show a minimap, anyway at the end of the run you can see the whole Hypetrain blasting away, so you can see also all the wagons.

What fun little game.

Nice job! It was quite dizzying, but it was fun to play. I got a score of 7825! I liked the little notes at the bottom, although I didn't have too much time to read them. I also really liked the menu music. 😄

Funny game ! Feature creep haha.

At the end it goes very fast but it's still readable, congrats on that ! The feeling of speed is what makes a simple game like this fun. (Also, the gamedev jokes are always welcome after a gamejam lol)

Design-Wise, I always wonder why allow full 2D movement when 1 dimension is the only thing that's needed ? If there was trains or bonuses coming in from top to bottom sometimes it could incentivise you to take risks and advance to the right of the screen !

Fair point! In my case I wanted to leave some freedom to the player, the game is already very simple, so by letting the player figuring out to stay back it's part of the game-play, even if it's a very simple consequence, it's still a choice. I was thinking of adding wagons coming from above and below but I felt it was getting too crowded, maybe I could add it as a nightmare mode post-jam? Thank you for playing my tiny bideogame!

Hahah, amazing! Man it starts to go super fast towards the end. I think I did fairly well, my end score was 10700. Curious what others got.

only 9500 but I claim that I was distracted by my sister coming into my room to ask if we can play street fighter 6.

I said no, but I still lost points :(
