The graphics and sound/music made me so nostalgic for NES games... Don't recall minesweeper there but this would have been perfect. I did like the little animations that the trees made time to time too.

Sorry to say, don't think this one really fits the theme through, but totally forgivable for a NES-like minesweeper game. Thanks for submitting

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Making it NES-style was the objective, and I am glad you liked it :)

Good game, I love minesweeper and it was really nice to "find" it and play it again :D

The movements and controls are responsive, and the animations work really well. However, why did you choose two adjacent keys? DDD: I pressed the wrong key so many times, and losing all my progresses was a bit sad ^^'

Don't get me wrong, I still had fun re-starting :)

Thanks :D The key combination was the Pico-8 key standard which I used. I have seen similar games on Pico-8 so I thought I should keep the control layout. Turns out, it could have been a better decision lol.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused, and I am glad you liked the game :)))

It's well-made, but the connection to the theme seems a little tenuous...

Developer

Hmmmmm… I don’t disagree lol

Nice little game, I had fun with it.  Good luck with your future game!

nice game RPG+minesweeper hybrid!

Developer

Thanks :)

Minesweeper with walking was actually pretty intuitive! I liked it. The one feature I'm really missing is the ability to activate a number tile after placing flags to clear the surrounding tiles that haven't been flagged. Minesweeper is way slower without this.

The game looks very nice, but I feel the music didn't quite fit. Good use of sound effects and the fail scene was really nice.

I don't understand how this fits the theme, but an otherwise cool game!

Developer

Thank you for the detailed feedback. I did not know about the feature because I did not play minesweeper so much, so thank you for pointing it out. Also yea the music has been placed quickly hehe. And there is always rain happening in the background so that is the theme. Not necessarily a game mechanic but just there to fit the theme lol.

cute little game, the explosion when you lose was so loud lmao

Developer

Lol yea that was the only explosion sound I had already in my PC. I was so near the deadline that there was no time to search for good sound effects. Thank You :)

Solid version of minesweeper! The art is solid, but you did a really good job with the audio. All the sound effects are used well and make the player's actions feel impactful. The music is great too!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the amazing feedback!

Man I'm so bad at minesweeper, but I agree a great looking implementation! Shout out to the audio too - great choices

Developer

Thank You very much! PS: I am also not-so-good at it :D

Lots of fun! Great implementation of minesweeper! The flag and reveal buttons are dangerously close, but after a little bit I got the hang of them. It was actually really fun to play minesweeper that way and I played for a pretty long time. Great job!

Thanks a lot! The flag and reveal buttons were inspired by Pico-8 systems. However, now that you mention, other layout choices could be made too. Thanks for the feedback, and I am glad you liked it :)
