the game is really fun! i would have liked an infinite mode or other variant of enemy/interactions. but it's a jam so who cares
Omg, those are some clever game mechanics ! Only takes a minute to understand. Great way to integrate some of the wildcards, too. This totally could be a larger game with multiple levels. The art style is simple, but effective. Nice retro style music, too.
Such a simple yet solid core, surprisingly gripping, I was sad when I finished haha, a great idea really well implemented, awesome job!

Addicting as hell !!!! My only gameplay feedback would be regarding about enemy spawn indicators and player death, currently it never dies getting hit with 3 sides. Love the gameplay, simplicity and the hard work. Fantastic Job !!!!
This is a really simple concept that plays extremely well. I didn't expect upgrading shapes and the changing of the shooting pattern to make much of a difference but it does make you think. I am also a sucker for minimalistic games and art styles so +1 for that. Would like to have seen some work put into the main menu so it fit the rest of the game. Also would have like the game to have an endless mode or to play longer because I was enjoying it and then I won. Nice tight little game loop though!
That was fun, and with all the screenshake the combat felt very satisfying. I wish there was an endless mode so that I could eventually become a circle. Great job!
Interesting game! I could see this doing well. I absolutely loved the music even if it wasn't necessarily original, and the art was basic but for what it was, good. I think I'd mostly recommend finding a way to only spawn squares somewhat apart from the player: I took a number of hits purely because I had a square spawned under me. Love the screen shake too, and as the funny little conversation by the indie dev goes: Question: "How much screen shake should I use?" Answer: "Yes."
For a first-time GWJ submission, this is quite high quality. Well done, keep it up!
i like the concept. would be cool to see something like infinite mode, because the game is very fun
- Theme: Main tie in was in narrative
- Fun: I actually wish there was an infinite mode, this was a very fun game
- Controls: The controls were very responsive and I liked the way you handled damage as well.
- Graphics: I liked the minimalist design, it fit the concept of the game
- Audio: Good music
- A11y: Given the game was minimalistic, there wasn't an issue with visuals. A sound control option would be nice
- Originality: This was a great take on the survivors genre, it would be cool to see this idea expanded upon
