A spider in a space. Cool game, nice mechanics. My only problem was pressing space button to close pop-ups. Overall, I really enjoyed the game. Nice entry.

Developer

Thanks for playing and commenting. :)

You should be able to close pop-ups using enter, or space, or whatever is mapped to "jump" (which is space by default).

Woah, your UI is really cool and snappy! I like that pausing the game in a level gives you an overview of the level as well! The puzzles were really fun! Thanks for the game and keep it up!

Developer

Thanks for playing and your comments!

Very nice entry! I do feel like it would be nice to have some indication of where the spider's collider is as a couple of times I thought I'd made a jump and then fell. I think this would help with the fixed camera angle. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the game, well designed puzzles all round. My main thought is I do wonder if it needs the fixed camera.

Thanks for playing.. yep that's a good point. Not exactly sure how to convey it to the player, but agree it would help (the collision shape).  As for the fixed camera, I tried to make the levels in such a way that the camera was "nice" all the time. I was hoping it would be more accessible to more players as some people (myself included at time!) struggle to control a camera and player at the same time.

A spider in space, hah. Thank you for the unique entry, I enjoyed working through the levels quite a bit! Those moments where I messed up a level and knew exactly how to tackle it next time felt good!

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

Very nice. Took me 2 seonds to find the "start" button. It looks aestetic, interesting mechanics.

Developer

Glad you found the start button and managed to play! Thanks. :)

Um, holy cow, how is there so much good content!? For starters, the menu screen, so much freeking UI, that must have taken hours, with the screen swapping and custom inputs and all that crazy sh$t. Then you have the game itself, with both good level designs, a high quantity and quality of levels, a reward system fom grabbing coins (animation and music), and solid mechanics (orbs and gates) that could be expanded very easily. Best game I've seen so far, really impressive for 9 days of work (also that mesh is freaking cool for the spider)

Also, sidenote, Avast Antivirus really hates your game, so I almost didn't play it cause it kept blocking me (unlike most other godot games for some reason)

Haha thanks for the feedback! I've done 6 of these in a row now, so I've got a bit of a routine down.

Spider was from here (https://opengameart.org/content/spider-3d) so I can't take credit.

Hmm that's a bit annoying about the anti-virus, I hope it's not causing problems for other people. I've not done anything special with my export from Godot.. let me know if you learn what causes it. :)
