I don't know if it's just me, but i had a couple of weird behaviors while jumping. A few times after jumping i just reappeared at the start location without losing a life, and another time the game completely locked up.

I've never played the classic this is modeled after, but it was quite engaging! I'm a sucker for punishing games 😅 The start menu and all the options was really well put together.

I really liked the amount of hang time on the jumps and how it let you plan moves to jump multiple enemies or get around corners. Also kudos for the controller controls. I always prefer a controller when possible, so it was great to see.

The footstep sound effect got a little grating, but I otherwise dug the aesthetic! Great stuff!

I didn't get very far in this, jumping was tricky! Hope you keep entering Jams and enjoying the game dev process. How is working in C#?

I was so use to the 80's game and its crazy difficulty that maybe i wasn't the best one to test this game :)

About C#, the most tricky part is to set up an external editor (i use Visual Studio Code ) for auto-complete and debug. I can't tell if GDscript o C# has better performance (i'm sure there is a lot of articles about it), but i don't have much free time, and i have been working with C# for a decade, so i feel more confortable and fast working with it.

Nice. I developed in Typescript for a few years and used VSCode. I tried C# with Godot at the start but found the lack of community using it to be tricky when finding tutorials etc

The aesthetic of this game seems very polished, including the opening menu.  I liked that you showed the game controls on the opening menu, great for accessibility.

The game mechanics are nicely implemented and straightforward.  Great work!

Very neat. I enjoy your take on the theme. Brings back some old memories.

I'm far too bad at games, so didn't get very far in the level, but it was a lot of fun what I did play.

Keep up the good work.
