Grappling was so fun! I loved everything about this one, you could totally expand it more! :)))

Neat little mechanic that was well executed. Reminded me of getting over it and has the same addicting factor, that you want to go as far as possible. I would have maybe spawned the fishes of other types a bit earlier, so that the player knows that there is more to the game than just the base fish.

This is definitely one of the hardest games in the jam but it's done in such a way that it isn't frustrating and it is very rewarding and satisfying.  Great job guys!

There was a great mechanic here in play here. The pixel art and lighting was spot on and the audio being generated by mouth was very fitting for the game that was being presented. Fun game. Well done!

Thanks! We always try to include all wildcards as a way to inspire us further, but I think this was the first time we saw a wilcard and just thought YES, that'll be GREAT.

Nice idea, the grappling mechanic. Those nice angler fish, it's nice to see them friendly.

And the face of those yellow fish when they ascend, it's hilarious.

I completed the game! Not an easy game, but I persevered.

Thanks for submitting, it was a short and good game.

Thanks! Glad you liked the fishies, we had a lot of fun designing them!

Congratulations on completing the game, we know it is not easy!

Nice and fun. Good job implementing the grappling-hook mechanics. Also the pixel art is really cool.

Thanks you! I'm glad the mechanics were good in the end, there were some issues that drove me crazy at the beginning!

That was a very nice grappling-hook game. I love this type!

Controls were very easy to get used to but those stunning spikes slowed me down for a while!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the controls, we spent quite a while trying to decide between using one button or both...

The graphics and sound were really cool! I liked the different types of fishes. I couldn’t get very far because I kept getting stuck in hit-stun but I really enjoyed the presentation.

Thanks for playing!

We had a lot of fun designing the fishes, I'm glad you liked them. I know the difficulty of the "urchin level" was a bit high... but that's how you make it interesting!
