Nice game. Good controls but maybe the black hole needs to grow faster because I never saw it after the cutscene but I understand that there was more you wanted to implement to slow you down.

Nice and polished. I like how you've scoped it well that while it might be limited in scope, what is there works and looks well.

Pretty cool! Good looking, the controls are easy to understand.

The credits don't serve much purpose I think? The game is pretty easy to finish by just going straight to the goal. I'm guessing the potential enemy spaceships you mention would help that.

Developer

Yeah, I agree that it’s much too easy to beat at the moment, and the credits are just there as a sort of scoring system. I’ll be looking into enemy AI programming to make future games more engaging.

Thanks for your comment!

Solid entry!

I ended up playing the game twice, so I think you should be proud with what you created! I firmly believe that with more time, you could create a great game building on this, so I hope you plan on making more games in the future! Others already mentioned the lack of controller support, but this can be a great start for future reference!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I’m hoping to make something a bit more substantial in the future,  I just haven’t decided what it will be yet. ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃ

This wasn't a bad start to the game!
It would have been interesting to see the asteroid mechanic you mentioned and maybe adding a progression mechanic to the collection of ores (trading + upgrading) could add to the enjoyment as well.

One thing I would suggest is to perhaps add controller support as it might enhance the feel/control of the ship in addition to becoming more accessible for the disabled/motor impaired.

Overall I think this game is fairly enjoyable and has room to grow :D

Developer

Thanks for the input! Yeah, next time I’d like to add a couple more things, including controller support, but I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Nice game! It looks good and plays well. I'm not a big fan of this type of control scheme though, I find it really difficult to use.

Developer

Yeah, I’m honestly not one for space shooters or asteroid style games either, but it was a fun experiment. Thanks for the feedback!
