Really good concept, visuals and UI! A little hard to get used to the driving mechanics though.
Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you for this wonderful entry into the jam! Really impressed with the ambition & execution given the time frame - lots of little things all adding up together to make something I thought was really engaging. Thanks again, had a lot of fun nipping round (albeit not very fast haha). Thanks again!
Thank you for hosting this Jam!
I really liked the design but the controls, at least for me, felt a bit sensitive or awkward? I think it's mostly because my laptop sucks! I think the potential is there and I feel like if you leaned into giving the car certain abilities or different things it could do depending on size, you could really have something cool!!

Thanks for playing. About the controls, i might have forgotten to use delta variable and i haven’t tested the game on a low end device, sooooo it’s my fault (obviously xd).
Daaaamn man, the playground had it all. I've seen your comments on how you intended size to be use for getting faster speeds, but you missed so much in my opinion.
I was cruising through each level like "haha, more like, size dOESn'T mAtter" as I was beating them all without adjusting. When I hit the playground and saw the uneven terrain parts I just thought "where was all this?!".
I personally don't want to include the playground as a part of the overall game experience, as it seems more like a dev testing tool, or extra feature. But man, if you added those uneven parts throughout the levels that actually required you to adjust mid race, would be really sick.
Another thing I expected, and honestly the only reason I changed size once, was cause I saw the sand, and the sign saying it behaved differently, so I thought "ahh, this is where we be big, right?" thinking the little car was just gonna get immediately bogged down. Naturally I tested both big and small, and I truly think that's a missed opportunity as well.
Bumps, Tunnels, Jumps, Narrow passages. These could have all drastically changed the use of the theme for the better.
Also the scenery of the playground! It felt so much more alive than the real tracks!
Sorry for the yap, overall great game. Car controls were okay, but it felt a little rubbery, and drifting counter-steered way too aggressively.
Thank you so much. This is one hell of a feedback, and even tho it’s mostly negative, I can’t help but agree with everything you said. It as a huge mistake leaving the level design for the last day and I regret it a lot now. Thanks again for playing the game and taking your time to leave such a big review, because size really matters when it comes to feedback xdd.
Fun game! Great driving physics, especially for a game jam. There was obviously a lot of work put into this one.
Thanks!
I find the playground area quite fun, sure get stuck at many places in levels but enjoyed the playground very much without restriction.
Fun fact, the playground was my test level for 99% of the game, i made the other levels on the last day before submitting xd
Nice game, How did you implemented gear system ,Need improvement in physics. It would better if you add obstact course
Thanks for playing!
Fun game! Controls are really smooth and I like the graphics style. Music is good even if it is AI Generated. You should add a fullscreen button though bc my monitor is very small and the game doesn't fit on it.
There is one, i use the Itch.io default one. Really small in the bottom right corner. Thanks for the feedback back tho, I’ll add a more visible button to my next games.
I really like the graphics style and nice details that are throughout this. The use of different size cars with different mechanics is cool. I personally didn't really like the driving mechanics as much, it took a lot of getting used to and I found it frustrating coming to a halt and getting stuck when hitting things, which happens all too easily with the controls. Maybe it's just skill issue on my part. I liked having the playground area to practice in. I do think this game has plenty of potential to be great with the right gameplay mechanics, if you could nail the driving feel a bit closer to something like mario kart.
By the way I also liked the inclusion of the leaderboard, which is something I wish I could have done for my game.
Thank you so much! Getting the car to feel good and combining it with the changing size was really challenging for me so it could always be better.
Clean driving mechanics :) the UI was really nice too
Thank you for playing!
Fun little driving game, UI is really nice! I’d also enjoy some “gimmicky” reasons to change size in the tracks, since I’m not a player who is very motivated to chase better times.
Thanks for playing! I wish I could make more interesting levels :D
Interesting concept, could be really fun with some extra motivation to change size, such as exaggerating the difference in physics depending on the size (e.g. make the smallest car feel like a a toy, and the biggest car feel like an overpowered monster truck).
Overall it's a great game, and I really like the small details such as the custom cursor and the player name on the car's number plate.
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it.
Fun game!
I like how you incorporated the theme. I disagree with the other comments that there is no pressure to increase in size. The game's goal is to get a high score, you even tell us that when we first open the game. The large cars hand brake drifting is much more effective than the small car, and the large vehicle size handles speed bumps much better.
I found the delay when you press gas and reverse a little frustrating at times, but once I figured it out it got a little easier :)
Thanks for playing! I know the delay sucks, I found it on export last minute and couldn’t figure it out. On the other hand, it’s like a real car, that has to completely stop before shifting into reverse :D
Fun concept, but there's no pressure on the player to increase in size!
I noticed this pretty late into the jam and didn’t have much time to add it. However, there is in level 2 bumps on the ground, that requires you to get bigger to drive over them smoothly, bcs the small car will crash. The same goes for level 3. And in level 4, there are some sharp turns that are very hard to do with the smallest car. The main idea is, as you said, you don’t NEED to increase the size to beat a level, you NEED it if you want a better time.
Thanks for playing my game in the first place tho. I really appreciate all feedback and the time players spend playing my little game. If I ever come back to this game, THIS is the thing I am gonna focus on in my levels. Thanks!
Fun driving! but I beat the game with only the small car
Thanks for playing my game! I know the game can be beaten without changing the size. However, the challenge of this game isn’t in beating all the levels. It’s about beating them fast. And for that, changing size helps you a lot. I explained this a bit in another comment reply so I wont go into detail. I recommend trying to play the game again and beat your previous time with changing your size! Anyway, I really appreciate any and all feedback on my little game, and I hope this reply won’t come off as “angry developer noises”. Thanks again for playing!
