How does your submission match the theme?
One button + stick movement:

Grab also slows time, but time slow costs you money.
Grabbing ingredients costs money.
Constant hand movement is rewarded with faster speed.

Third-party resources
Picture of chef is this:

* SDL used for lots of stuff. (render, sound, events)
* LZ4 for compression.

I also re-used my internal software rendering engine that I made for other games here. It's only nothing but things like sprite rendering, font rendering, collision, etc.

All video and audio game assets (except for reference pic of chef) was made by me during the timeframe of the event.

Aside from the vaporwave aesthetic, im not sure how time dilation goes with a cooking game but you sure made it work!

I really didn't like this game. Although the A E S T H E T I C S are there, the gameplay is just so slow and unforgiving. If you're not done making a pizza before it reaches the halfway point, you might as well give up on it if you want to complete the next one at all. And the idea that you slow down time at the cost of money is a neat idea (after all, time IS money), but the fact that it occurs all the time makes it feel like it's less of a gameplay mechanic that naturally evolves the game and more of a "that's just how this game works"

This game is charmingly annoying. I like how ruthless your boss is when you're fired and how quickly you end up in the red from wasting ingredients!

Fun to play and fits the theme really well. Only issue I had was the ingredient list always showing for the leftmost pizza, which can sometimes be a lost cause; It could show for the pizza you last placed an ingredient on. Great Job.

This might just be my favorite one.  I really like CGA artstyle done nicely, and the bizzare text and general  atmosphere is really cool.  Game is pretty fun too!  Nice challenge.
