Dashing is used for both defensive and offensive purposes (can be used to dodge bullets, and dashing into enemies stuns them temporarily). Dashing into walls, however, stuns you. Stunning an enemy will make them drop their gun, which they will attempt to retrieve once they wake. However, the dropped gun can be picked up by yourself, which leaves them with just their knife, and also lessens the time it takes you to charge an attack. An enemy with a knife will move towards you to attack instead of strafing, making it easier to kill them.

Third-party resources
I used Game Maker 8.1 to create the game, and I used artwork from http://wpliving.net/free-seamless-tileable-wood-backgrounds-designers/

The music was created by Dave Allen, and I got testing feedback from my family and friends.

Fun game! I included it in my Game Maker Toolkit’s Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

I really love this game. The controls are nice, the art has its charm and the objetive is clear. I'm gonna make it clear here that the updated version that you sent on Discord made the game much more playable because of the difficulty in this older version. I'll list here some suggestions regarding the new version:
- For some reason, you can't warp through more than one wall.
- Would be nice if I try to warp inside a wall, the game would warp me beside it and just "stun" as if trying to dash into. There were lots of times that I wasn't even able to warp because I pointed inside a wall or inside a Bean xD
- The walls are kind slippery, and I don't really like that. I mean, I don't like to being stuck as well, but it feels that I'm not controlling much when I'm hitting a wall.

Congrats for the game! =D

I really like the general idea and feel of it except for one thing: you gotta figure out how to make the player slide along walls.  I certainly found that being stealthy/fast was the best way to handle playing.  I'd be happy to see this game go further!

P.S.  If you add an (!) above the enemy's head when they notice you, it will help a lot with the player understanding the AI.

Oh my goodness you are so right.  It took only one line of code being changed to effectively slide along walls, and it made it so much better!  I can't believe I didn't realize that xD

Holy shit this game is hard... It takes a while to get used to dashing out of the way and punishing the enemy's miss with a warp. Dashing into enemies feels a bit funny, as most times you'll end up getting shot in the face. Still, it's a pretty well-polished game with promise. Good job!

Yeah, unfortunately I made the level in the last hour of the Jam, so it's not made well for the type of abilities you have.  If it were just several big open rooms, it would be significantly easier.  Thanks a bunch for the feedback :D
