How does your submission match the theme?
The game requires you to pull off tricks and combos to replenish your ammo. The idea was to incentivise the player to stay moving around the arena, dodging shots, and pulling off tricks to keep their combo/multiplier going. Getting shot by an enemy kills your combo however, so the player must decide whether to stop now and trade in the points for ammo, or stay going to get an even higher score (and the potential for more ammo)

I've also tried to simplify the controls as much as possible, reducing tricks down to one button. You can tap C to grind, or hold it down and release to "Prewind", allowing you to spin much faster if you release it mid air

Very interesting game! I included it in my Game Maker Toolkit’s Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)


I really like the concept. It took me a minute to figure out how to get more ammo outside of killing people, and it came as an accident, really. The only thing that takes this one down a peg for me is that the aiming is pretty difficult. I get the feeling that's somewhat intentional, but I think it would be loads more fun if it was slightly easier to aim.

Morbid stuff! The controls take some getting used to, but cool concept of mashing together a skater and shooter! Would be nice if the surrounding area outside the game area isn't clipped off. 


Thanks! What do you mean by the clipped off area? That the arena/playing area is too small? It was a bit of a rush to get the game submitted on time, so the level itself could use a lot of work!


Think there's a mask applied to the game field so the character's head is covered if you venture near the upper bounds of the area, just a minor  effect though

This game is awesome~!  I loved how the mechanics of doing tricks, movement, and shooting were all intertwined.  It was hard for me to get the "spinning jump" tricks at first, but I really started enjoying this game once I figured out how to execute those.
