As other people mentioned, there is potential here and the art is pretty good.

However, I did not understand what ability was which based on their icons. Having a name displayed would have been ideal.

I also could only place some abilities.

Furthermore, I did not know what the "ship" was.

Lastly, the enemies seemed to damage the generator even when it wasn't directly in their path, which was a bit confusing.

There's potential here! Needs a lot of work on the UI.

Unsure how to advance the game, I started clicking randomly to figure things out. Consider making in clearer what the player's remaining available actions are.

Here's my honest feedback for you, hope it's helpful:

  • Art style is pretty nice.
  • Resolution for WebGL version is way too big, I couldn't really see the whole game screen on Full HD monitor. Height was the problem. You should probably stick to 600-700 px high window on web.
  • As for the gameplay, I didn't really get how to play the game and use the dice that I got so some in-game tutorial or step by step explanation would be nice.
  • Transitions between turns last too long (when you click on the red die)
  • Bug: If I die and go back to the main menu then press play again I'd immediately get fail screen and would be again taken back to main menu.

The art is probably the best part of the game. The sound effects and music also fit quite well.

The gameplay feels like it could be interesting, if the actions available to the player were displayed more clearly.
For instance, it took me some time to understand I wasn't supposed to wait but was supposed to start rolling dice by clicking on the red dice.

I see there was an attempt by highlighting the squares where you're able to move/place stuff, but highlighting possible actions (for example the character and/or the dice) would make the game much more easy to understand. Also, I feel like the enemies' arrows (indicating where they are heading) are too small, it took me a few turns before noticing the arrows were there.

So, the main issue with this game is probably its lack of clarity.

I very much enjoyed the art!

To be honest, we overestimate our abilities… But still, our small team is very happy that they took part in this Jam, although it was really difficult!

Interesting concept! Reminds me a bit of Into the Breach's turn-based combat. The art goes  together pretty well and I enjoy the idle animations

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad our efforts were not in vain.
