I AM TUBBY LARDO
Love the sense of style and humour and feels great to play. A tutorial would have been nice, as I was a bit ensure what the rules were, but a great laugh
Thanks for playing! We did run out of time to put a tutorial into the game itself; there's a how-to-play section at the top of the game's Itch page, but it's a bit wordy because there're more than a few mechanics that need explaining. It's definitely on the list of things to improve on in future jams, though.
.:°Enjoyment°:.
I had a lot of fun playing this. I was a bit confused at first but then I got the hang of it and giggled a few times while playing.
.:°Creativity°:.
The dice acts way different than any ball or other object which I really liked. Especially that you drew, probably, inspiration from Breakout or similar games. The levels itself were very good and challenging.
.:°Presentation°:.
I really enjoyed 'The King', the music and especially the art-style. Everything works extremely well together and that in such short time. Very good!
.:°Score°:.
4/5/5
Stay crunchy.
This game is very polished has juicy feedback and fun to play, really could do with a tutorial or something though, the art ant music were great, had fun playing it but didnt know what to do exactly. Great game!
Thanks for checking out our game! A tutorial was at the top of the list of things we wanted to add to the game, but we were running out of time towards the end of the jam; it'll have to be something we work on for future jams, I think. If it helps, there's a how-to-play section at the top of the Itch page. It's a bit long (since there are a lot of mechanics in the game that need explanation), but it goes over everything.
because of the time constraints i would suggest adding images to explain if you cant get done with the tutorial, as having a game thats good to play is way more important than the tutorial
Cool as hell! Loved it!
This game is polished as frick. Voice acting is amazing and the drawings are superb. Nice job. Only complaint is how long it takes to get the dice back in your hand. Makes the game a little slow. Other than that it's smooth. Made me want an Elvis sandwich 10/10.
Fantastic game, quality is out of this world. Like honestly, I didn't expect you all to revive Elvis just to have him voice act in this game.
Damn the voice acting is A+, that smug bastard is awesome!
Really cool game. The presentation is amazing and I'm not familiar with breakout-likes, but I have never seen the "throw a token" mechanic which i really enjoy.
My only complain is that I couldn't understand what's the impact of dice rolls !
Before you throw the dice, the player pays $1000 to roll against Future Elvis. If you roll higher than him, you win $2000, but if you roll lower, you lose your initial buy-in. The break-out element re-rolls the die every time it hits a brick, where the final result is whatever the die was on when it lands off-screen.
You can also right-click to dash, which you can use to launch the die upward.
