The game requires you to not click the dice. The title tells you to not click the dice. The narrator explains one simple rule. Do not click the dice. The narrator leaves you with nothing but your thoughts. Your strong resolve to not click the dice. You will not click the dice. But what will you do? Nothing else is here but the green flag. Clicking it urges the narrator to come back and remind you once again to not click the dice. Well, you haven't clicked the dice so far. So far so good. Not clicking the dice has given you plenty of time to contemplate why you're here. Why are you doing this. "Why ARE you doing this?" The dice asks you a simple question. What are you accomplishing by NOT clicking the dice? Are you trying to prove something? Maybe there's some kind of reward if you don't click on the dice for long enough. The dice stares into your soul, taunting you. You stare back. "I'm not going to click you that easily." With a new found purpose, you continue to not click the dice. And you wait. And you don't click the dice. And you wait. And you don't click the dice. And you're done waiting! "When's something gonna happen?" The dice chuckles. "Nothing will happen," he replies. "Not until you click the dice." But you can't click the dice. Everything you've been told in your life up to this point has led you to believe that you're not supposed to click the dice. You'll just have to keep persisting. If nothing else, at the end of this, you'll be able to confidently say "I did not click the dice!" At the end of this. When is the end of this? The dice begins to say something, but you stop him before he can. "I know what you're going to say, that it will end when I click the dice. And I don't want to hear it" The dice replies, "How did you know what I was going to say?" You reply, "Because you're just a projection of my negative thoughts. You're not real." The dice doesn't reply. You sit and wait for an answer from him. Wait? No. You're done waiting. You've waited so long. You're not waiting for a figment of your imagination to respond to your acknowledgment that it's life is just a false pretense designed to entertain you while you don't click the dice. Having the burden of constant temptation being lifted is initially nice. The dice is no longer going to taunt you to click it. Life is sweet. Now all that's left is to not click the dice. So you just keep sitting there. By yourself. No dice to entertain you. You miss him. You miss him and his condescending remarks. But then you realize, there is a dice to entertain you. Just because you're thoughts betrayed you doesn't mean the literal, physical dice is gone. It's just sitting there. For what purpose? Is it waiting too? Too bad it's an inanimate object and can't talk, otherwise you could strike up some friendly conversation and keep the both of you entertained. The dice looks lonely. If only there was some way for you to show that you cared. That you felt his struggle. Maybe if you just clicked on him. You start to move your mouse closer to the dice. But before you're able to click it, a familiar voice pops into your head. "You're not really going to click me after all this time you've spent waiting, are you?" When you need him most, the dice returns to remind you of your mission. But something seemed off. Why did the dice suddenly want to be clicked now? It must be a trap. He's obviously trying to deceive you. Besides, it's not even the actual dice that's talking, it's your imagination. Maybe the voice in your head is jealous that he doesn't have a physical form. He's mad that he's not really a dice, so he's trying to convince you to not click the dice, because if he can't have what he wants, neither can the dice. He's clever, but he won't be able to deceive you. You hover your mouse over the dice. It's so simple. It's just sitting there. All you have to do is click. Why haven't you just done this the whole time. It was so obvious. The whole thing was an elaborate trick. The title? The narrator? All just distractions from your true goal. But you're done being distracted. You're done being deceived. You're done waiting. Finally. A smile spreads across your face.

You click the dice.
