unique take on the theme. Very nice lessons too

Really cute little story! Really like how the verses reflect the gameplay differences between the two characters

Not too familiar with the "game of life" concept but I think I go the vibe with the narration. It looks like there's a specific order to collect things, I assume so that it fits within the narrative and scene transitions, but the level was was not always designed this making me grab something too early only to-respawn me or just not accept it.  Other that than, the music fit well with the visuals.

The game of life was a reference to Conway's Game of Life.

I got that...just not too familiar with it though I have heard it :)

I don't really get how it fits the theme, well meh.

Developer

the original idea was you were going to have a set of random stats  but the scope got to large and I had to cut back, the original character you get is random there is a tall and short one

I don't really get how it fits the theme, and the platforming is a little tedious. I would recommend increasing the jump height, movement speed, and gravity. Also adding more obstacles to the game. I do really like the art style though!

Developer

the original scope got to large i was planni g to have a bunch of random stats borrowing from that stephen king quote on the main menu

I like the playable visual metaphor aspect to it. A little simple but not in a bad way. Kinda like a playable motivational poster. Id recommond it its got a nice message.

I don't know how it fits the jam's theme. Graphics were weirdly nice.

Developer

the original plan came from the stephen king quote I had over scoped and cut back to something I could manage to make
