If this becomes a full game I'll buy it day one. Awesome idea and smooth controls. I'd love to see more bosses or puzzles with this mechanic.

Developer

That's really awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yes I do plan on expanding the game in the future, be it bosses or more traditional puzzles and area to explore

Very interesting idea for a game!  I think the main mechanic of dashing through the glaive is pretty demanding of the player, and when the actual boss fights started, it kind of felt like I was playing two different games at once; when I actually hit a boss with the glaive, it felt somewhat coincidental rather than being a fully intentional action.  Maybe the dash can go a little further and be marked as both a way to charge up the glaive and an evasive maneuver?  I will also mirror Condimint's feedback and say I wish you could dash in the direction of movement rather than just the mouse; it is part of why the glaive mechanics are so demanding.  With those things being said, the feedback was very good!  I liked how the glaive and loop text changed colors and gained more effects.

Not bad!

Thanks for the feedback !
I understand what you felt about the main mechanic being demanding! I enjoy challenging games, and so this was designed with that in mind, sort of like the deflect mechanic from Sekiro where it's challenging at first but really fun when mastered. But I do understand that these types of games aren't for everyone😄As for the dash it'll definitely be an optional setting in the future

Got a time of 2:23. Fun game, wished you would dash in the direction you are moving instead of the direction of your mouse.

Glad you had fun, and nice time! Yes, during development i debated with myself alot about whether the dash should be at the cursor  or directional movement, in the end cursor felt more natural for me and my friend, so i stuck with it. In the future i'll make the dash it into an option instead

It was a little confusing to figure out how to power up your glaive, but after figuring it out it was a good time. Good idea and game!

Thank you, glad you had a good time 😁Yes i unfortunately    ran out of time to make a proper tutorial section but it will definitely be improved in the future

This is a very cool concept (and nice art!) and I can tell from the screenshots that there's more to this game, but for me, the hitstop when hitting a training dummy never ended (constant slow-motion). I'll be happy to check back after the jam for an update that fixes this hiccup!

Developer

Ahhhh that's unfortunate, but thank you for bringing it up! I'll definitely get that sorted out in future updates
