Time loop: Every time the player goes back up the spiral staircase, they see their past selves . Karma : Desperation in the game is a form of karma, which is the concept of good or bad things coming back to meet you. Spiral staircase: It's a looping staircase

Cool idea, but it was really confusing. I think it would help if there was a counter showing you how far you are from the end. Also I thought I died when the game ended, so I think saying the end instead of game over would make that more clear.
Nice game and nice story too , I like it about infinite died and alive with infinite stair

Interesting game, I do like the randomness of the endings! I like the simple artwork too. Looping down the stairs is a little confusing at first and I wasn't sure what was happening before I randomly got hit with a plank! In all, nice work!
The evil stunt double was quite the surprise! lol Once I figured out what I was supposed to do I enjoyed myself! Good work!

I’m not sure if you were going for the horror genre, but I like it! I would have preferred some guidance in the beginning of the game but I really dig the looping staircase idea!

kind of scary... i kept dying over and over... but the looping staircase is a really cool concept! it was a bit difficult to understand tho
it definitely has a horror vibe to it, although the game was a bit complex to understand

It's hard to figure out what is going on, going up the stairs leads to death in a couple screens, so does going down. Maybe that's intentional but you have pretty long meters for this to be done in only 2-3 loops.
There is a bottom to the staircase but that is kind of unclear. I definitely should have done more playtesting and added a tutorial or some HUD to display the floor count, my bad. I hope you still enjoyed the game! Thank you for the feedback!
I'm surprised that only your and my game have the word Karmic in their name (to be fair there are other games submitted that have Karma in their name, but not specifically the word "Karmic").
There seems to be an interesting loop mechanic/narrative here but I am struggling to find it. I may need a bit more hand-holding in a tutorial or something.
Fun little looping game! I honestly am not sure what the narrative was, but the interaction mechanics felt good and I jumped when the evil version of the main character came out and attacked. haha Great job!
