This is so good! So many good game design decisions were made here, it's incredibly well polished, and the baseball is an awesome addition! Amazing work!

The whole game was so incredibly polished 😲 while I was supposed to be rating more submissions before the jam voting finished, I ended up playing it for over an hour... so great job!!

Developer(+1)

Haha I'm sorry for the impact on your rating-productivity :D

Thank you very much for spending your time with our game and giving us such a kind comment though, much appreciated <3

This game is a lot of fun. The sounds and animations improve the experience a lot. The music is perfect for this type of game. The part of the game I enjoyed most was the beginning and middle, when the baseball bat mattered and I had to strategically use it to hit multiple pinatas at once. Toward the end of the game, there is too much going on for me or my computer to follow. I would suggest cutting back on some of the objects in the late game like reducing the maximum spawn rate for small pinatas. Maybe you could remove some of the later pinata types so that the existing ones stand out more. By the point that I was unlocking the bunny, hedgehog, and dino, I felt like they were uninteresting and adding little to the game. (From a game design perspective) (They do look nice and I know you put effort into the art)

Hey, thanks a lot for playing and commenting! I'm happy you found the game fun and took your time to play through it all. Ah, that's an interesting take I hadn't seen before. A lot of people are telling us that the early-game is too slow and takes too long. Perhaps keeping the bat relevant in the later stages of the game through bat upgrades could be a compromise to still keep it engaging for those who'd rather mostly play with the bat. Something to think about...
Nice time by the way!

Nice idea, the mix of tower defense and idle incremental game. The pacing is a bit slow, also I wish I could upgrade my bat. Great sound effects and art work though, I enjoyed the experience

Developer

Yeah I hear that a bunch. Perhaps we should make the Llama base cost just a tiny bit cheaper to speed up the beginning a little. Bat upgrades is something we had planned at first but had to scrap due to time constraints. I'm glad that you still enjoyed the game. Thanks for playing and complimenting our game's  presentation!

So addictive! All the vfx and sfx are so satisfying and the baseball bat addition is such a great idea! Loved it, super polished and fun. Congrats on the submission!

Developer

Your comment is soooo nice!!! Thank you! I had a lot of fun making the VFX, and I know Jonas really wanted to do the sfx! And AIA did such a great job with the bat! Thank you for playing!!! ^^
