Enjoyed this quite a lot. It was really satisfying to create high scoring combos.

I really enjoyed the athmosphere and even though i dont like sushi. I still ended up vibing to the music and making sushi!!

This is a flash game I would have played endlessly on armor games back in the day.  Visuals and music are great and hit the perfect atmosphere.  A few minor bugs but the gameplay loop is really solid and gives a refreshing twist on the roguelike points go brrrr genre.  Well done by everyone on the team!

I never really got the hang of it but it was a cool concept and I felt forced to play it as I love SUSHI. Nice take on the theme.

Developer

thanks for the kind words! we didnt have time to implement an in-game tutorial but we’ll add one in the future <3

I think there's a bug where the recipe only shows up when you start moving ingredients?

Once I got the hang of it, it was quite fun. Loved this take on the theme!

I love Balatro and I love sushi, 10/10.

Took me a second to figure out that you can use all the ingredients on the conveyor belt, you aren't limited by play count like Balatro. Overall really creative idea, and I hope to see it getting expanded on in the future.

Developer

yeah, we’re definitely coming back after the jam to bugfix and improve some vfx, there were a few perks which got cut due to killer bugs, but we’ll try to implement those too :>

Really creative concept and the pixel art is great. It did take me a little bit to get the hang of it but I started to get some combos eventually. Nice job!

Really cool game with such a great executed vibe! Loved how the items wiggle around while you drag them and the shops instantly triggered my Balatro brain, where I tried to find the best combos ^^ Great games thanks for making it <3

Developer(+1)

thanks for the kind words! the item wiggling was a total pain to execute, i spent a good 2 hours bugfixing it cause they wouldn’t rotate properly ;w;

I managed a weird soft lock where the conveyor just ran out of ingredients and I couldn’t like exit? Which was disappointing mainly because I was really enjoying it! Great entry.

Developer

yeah, im gonna fix as many bugs as i can after the jam and polish it up a little with some more ingredients and vfx :>

An in game tutorial would have helped me a ton, but the game once you understand it is quite entertaining. I probably should have just paid more attention to the description tutorial before starting

Developer

yeah, we were a little pressured for that by the end of the jam so we had to add it in after the deadline :< when we come back to it we’ll try to make it a more contained experience ^^

Enjoyed this very much. Potentially would have benefitted from more instruction at the start and maybe a recipe book to store discovered recipes?

Overall good stuff! Would love to see it developed further after the jam :)

Yeah we needed more tutorialisation lol. There is a recipe book but it's tucked away in the pause menu.

roe is insanely OP lol. Also feels quite luck based, but cool pixel graphics

very well put together. almost like a nice piece of sushi

Cool game, well polished, but for me music stole the show, it suits the game so well!

Developer(+1)

my musician and artist teammate was a godsend, but i’ve passed on your kind words :>

Good lord this is flattering, thank you everyone for the compliments :]

Art's only been made because I had someone to program how it was used though o7

Submitted(+2)

Gj overall! The art and audio was my favorite parts.

Developer(+1)

yeah, my teammate did a wonderful job! passed on the compliment ^^

The game was really fun, I liked figuring out what combos could ge me the most points/money. It did take a little bit too long to unlock new ingredients, so it felt kinda slow at first, but I still enjoyed it.

Very interesting! It took me a while to figure out how everything worked, but in the end I got it. Gameplay didn't feel very challenging - I just always bought everything at every shop, I never seemed to run out of money. It also felt a little repetitive after a while, but I'm sure I'll come back to it! Overall an amazing job, never thought I would get to play a sushi deckbuilding roguelike.
