How does your game fit the theme?
Light Me Up fits the "build to scale" theme by requiring you to adjust your torch’s brightness to survive. Some monsters are affected by light, while others aren't, so you'll need to scale your torch settings wisely to navigate the challenges.

I like the idea behind the game, but the levels are really hard. The bat enemies are the most annoying enemies since they will chase you for the rest of the level as long as your torch is lit. And the situation becomes even worse in level 4, where you have to deal with the zombies and the bats at the same time.
Nice graphics and gameplay idea. I think having the torch on it's lowest setting can really hamper gameplay due to the near-zero visibility. Aside from that, I enjoyed playing.
Great visuals! With more atmospheric sound design, I wonder if this could be a cutesy retro horror game? Or maybe a really good vehicle for some story? I could see you taking this in a lot of different directions after the jam!
They style is wonderful, though the enemies seem unforgiving and I lose track of how much light I’m using. It feels very rewarding to sneak past stuff and get to the door! Well done for the jam!
Great concept, well done in 96h, but hard as hell. I never passed the first bat
Cool concept and nice art. Maybe a bit too hard
I agree with comments below, great concept and art is well made. Congrats
Cool concept - I think you could keep pushing the concept further to make it more and more interesting
Really cool concept, I liked how using less light made it a lot harder to know what was ahead.
SO WELL DESIGNED. This is an idea of scale that really has scaled. And you really know how to use it to make the player anxious and busy, making it playful. Thank you!
Really cute art! I like the lighting effect and the strategy of keeping the light dim and lit, but I had too much difficulty dealing with the Shadowbats and Zombos. With the Shadowbats, I had to keep the light down the entire level. With the Zombos, I tried to balance using the light and keeping the battery up, but there were no safe spots where I could keep the light low.
