This is a really silly game and I'm into it.  I really liked the music.  The alternate names for objects made me laugh.  I spent my whole first round not realizing there were objects for size reference off the top of the screen though, I thought I had to use my imagination.

Trying to construct the car with your given measurements is a really great punchline to the game.  Awesome job!

Whelp, this had me babbling like a crazy person in record time lol

Next time I go to the mechanic, I'm half expecting them to ask me how many possums long the thumb slammer is.

Thank you so much for playing!

nice art! my knowledge of car parts are bad would be good if there is a cue on which part it asking for

Developer

We tried to make which part it asks for a bit silly, by giving the parts crazy names that "Bernie" thought up, although admittedly, that did make it rather hard. Thanks so much for playing!

Wasn't expecting to have to view my terrible measurements personally lol... Very good job, had a lot of fun

Developer

Thank you! We thought it would be a fun way to make the player have to feel the consequences of miss-sizing things. Thanks for playing!

I really like the idea! It would be very fun to play through different levels, constructing various cars or not only cars :) For me it was a bit stressful as I had to think about puzzles, keep track of time and look for opossums that didn't want to show themselves :D I would maybe probably get rid of the timer, as the game can be still fun (or even more fun) without it :)

Regarding the art I would probably take care of the hierarchy of the elements — right now everything lookss very powerful and sometimes it can be hard to focus on the right things. Like in the tutorial, for example: https://gyazo.com/c004d837b075b63346e2a7c95ea4393f all the elements on the screen are bold and big (especially the black frames), and the least noticeable thing is actually the tutorial text, as the font is thinner than anything else :) Maybe it would be better if the text attracted the most attention in this scene!

Your way of thinking and creating challenges is cool and I believe that this game has lots of potential :)

Developer(+1)

Very true! I hadn't even thought of this. That would also explain why some play testers didn't notice the instructions in the first level as they were going by (oops). You're right, the timer might not be necessary; the goal was to make it feel hectic, but we can probably do that in some way other than the timer.

Thank you so much for playing! We appreciate everyone who takes the time to figure it out, and we especially appreciate your thoughtful feedback :)

Took a bit to get the hang of, but fun concept! I like the chaos

Developer

Thanks!

The first time I had someone play it was after it was submitted because I ran out of time; it was rather nerve racking when it took them a full 10 minutes to figure it out --  lol

I'm thinking of improving the tutorial in a post-jam release.

It has potential, and the visuals and idea are nice!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Our artists appreciate it :)

Creative for sure, but the quality is a bit lacking. It has some decent potential.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, this year, I took on a bit more of an ambitious project, but had less time than usual to code it together lol. I ran out of time to improve it much more.
