1 thing: it would be nice to have a little marker to help show aim/magnitude when slinging.

I love the artstyle, the writing, and all the cool different mechanics! I don't really have any criticism to give that hasn't already been said other than maybe you could show how many collectables the player has picked up.
Very cool art style, reminds me of scribblenauts. Gameplay is a tad bit janky but still good overall. Well done!
